This weekend they had some music festival in England where a bunch of rock bands and a rapper played. Unsurprisingly, the rapper was the best act on the bill. Jay-Z made Noel Gallagher look like a punk by covering Oasis’s Wonderwall and proceeding to mesmerize the crowd. Thanks to The Hip Hop Chronicle, you can read a full review with pictures and watch the entire set or just watch..

Wonderwall and 99 Problems

Amy Winehouse also punched a fan in self-defense. Frankly, I don’t think that anyone but Amy and her inner demons are trying to harm her.

In an interview with LA Times writer Chris Lee, Scott Weiland snapped at him when asked about spending time in jail, ruining the band, doing drugs, etc. He also spit a “green loogie” at the wall. I googled green mucus and found out that it’s a symptom of bronchitis. Fortunately for us, Scott Weiland rocks out with his sock out and killed at the Hollywood Bowl this past week. Pearl Jam just played their second sold out show at MSG last night. The band “rocked” another 3+ hour long set to the dismay joy of their fans. Ace Frehley and CJ Ramone joined the band each for one song. The Olsen twins were spotted at the show asking “Are those their dads onstage with them?” Billboard has more of a review and Gigwise has some more photos.

Apparently, Paul McCartney doesn’t have enough money. $60 million dollars goes only so far when you have to pay half to your wife and the other half to keep Ringo Starr from speaking in public. The Beatles will finally be making their way onto your favorite video game console (except for Atari because George Harrison hated Pitfall). Billboard is reporting that there are talks of making a “Guitar Hero” or “Rock Band” videogame with the band. I don’t know about you guys but I’d love nothing more than to go to the local bar and see tattooed emo kids butcher “Hey Jude” so I can run them over with my Jeep. Damn emo kids…

Matt Sorum was recently interviewed by Music Radar and he talks about Guns N Roses might be reuniting but it would be without him. Apparently he knows nothing about it even though he’s still in a band with Slash and Duff in Velvet Revolver which means one thing: No one likes Matt Sorum. This guy probably doesn’t even know where his kids are at 10pm. Pshh. bad dad. I hope no one got him anything for Father’s Day.

According to “music experts”, Celine Dion’s cover of AC/DC’s “You Shook Me All Night Long” was voted worst cover song of all time while Jimi Hendrix’s cover of Bob Dylan’s “All Along The Watchtower” was voted the best. How Celine beat Gene Simmons cover of Prodigy’s “Firestarter” or any song that Bill Shatner has done puzzles me. It must be those shiny pants. They’re awesome. I’m going to buy some for all my friends. Then we can go clubbing. The New Zealand Herald has the rest of the list of the worst and best cover songs with video evidence.

\"if we wear sunglasses, you can\'t download our music for free!\"
Apparently Metallica has found another way to distance themselves from the rest of the world by threatening bloggers. What’s next, girl scouts? C’mon dudes. You’re over the hill, haven’t toured in years and you just wanna piss people off more? Get over yourselves.
