Another new music format that will fail | The Audio Perv

Sandisk and all the major record companies except Universal are going to be rolling out a new physical music format this fall on microSD cards. These cards are expected to be about 1 gigabyte and have the music in mp3 format with videos, artwork, and other little trinkets. They’re rumored to be selling for between $7-15 per album. The National Post has a good article with some information on why the format will not last long. Maybe they should consider lowering the prices of all CDs, even catalog items.
