Even though Dave Grohl said that the Foo Fighters would be taking a bit of a break soon, it doesn’t mean that guitarist Chris Shiftlett’s going to be sitting around waiting. Shiftlett, who used to play in Me First And The Gimme Gimmes (now his bro fills in for him), is prepping his side project Jackson United for the road.

Forbes released the world’s best paid music stars and the Police are #1. They made over $115 million on their world tour. This just further proves that if you get paid enough money, you can work with anyone. Sting probably hates Stewart Copeland so much that he’d take an ad out in Stew’s town’s local paper to let him know. Sting, can you spot me a grand?

Yesterday, Martin Kierzenbaum was named the President of Pop & Rock A&R at Interscope Records. Kierzenbaum will still remain the head of CherryTree Records, an imprint under Interscope. Kierzenbaum is responsible for signing TaTu, Feist, Keane and Tokio Hotel (Thanks a lot, asshole! jk). He started out in the mailroom at Polygram and worked his way up! This can’t happen anymore because label heads usually hire their kids or their friends kids who *ockblock you from moving up. Enjoy that spot in Video Promo buddy, you’ll be there forever! Anyways, way to go Marty!
