2008
Chris Cornell has been touring with Timbaland behind new album Scream which no one likes except for middle-aged women (Even they must realize how bad this album is). Cornell was asked by MTV about singing for Led Zeppelin:
“I have not been approached so far to fill in for Robert Plant on the upcoming Zeppelin tour, but that isn’t to say I won’t be”
“I’ve heard that from about 200 people now, and it might be one of those situations where it’s just an online rumor or it might be true. But if you see anyone from Led Zeppelin around, let me know. I think I should actually fill in for Jimmy Page on the Robert Plant/Alison Krauss tour.”
Sucks. Soundgarden used to cover Led Zeppelin’s “Communication Breakdown” live and it wasn’t bad. The thing is, Cornell is only good live 50 percent of the time. If he plays two shows in your area, you should go to both just in case he sucks at one of them. The Audio Perv was lucky to see a truly legendary show at the Starland Ballroom in July of 07 where Cornell was AMAZING but had sucked the at one of the NYC shows before it.
