The Gaslight Anthem were on the Late Show with David Letterman last night and they played their hit single “The ’59 Sound” off the album of the same name. This is a big step up for the band who’s been playing numerous sold out shows and popping up on everyone’s new favorite band lists last year (even Bruce Springsteen’s). You should really check them out if you get a chance. (Tickets onsale now). Check out the video below:

Fall Out Boy performed last night on the Pepsi Super Bowl Smash Concert with Rihanna and Lifehouse. The show was hosted by Jerry O Connell (class act) and featured appearances by a lot of football players, most who aren’t in the Super Bowl (way to rub it in, Jerry!). Anyways, Fall Out Boy played two songs (at least thats what was aired on VH1 and Palladia) and I came away with one theory: Pete Wentz will leave Fall Out Boy to focus on his own “brand” and maybe start a side project/solo album. You can see the disinterest in Wentz’s face. He’s clearly the best looking guy in the band, the leader of the band (does most of the interviews) and he’s been carrying the band for a long time. Everyone knows that The Audio Perv’s taste in music tends to lean a little towards hard rock.. good hard rock. The kind that you really don’t hear anymore. That’s why it’s such a thrill when a band like Rev Theory comes along and puts out a great album like “Light It Up”. We got it and we want you to have a copy of it too! Email us at theaudioperv@gmail.com with your name and we’ll pick a winner by Friday February 9th.

Also, don’t forget to check out the video contest going on where you can direct your own version of “Light It Up”! If you need some inspiration, check out the original video below:
