The Los Angeles Times had a great piece this past weekend on Alice in Chains in the studio putting the last touches on their new upcoming album. Due out in mid-September, the currently untitled album will be released through Virgin/EMI. One of the new songs “Your Decision” has Cantrell singing of
“surviving pain and choosing to live” (a “Rooster”-like tribute to Layne?) and the next song is “a seven-minute epic built on heavy slabs of guitar, drums and bass, something like Black Sabbath but far quicker.” For more on the article, go here
