If Scott Weiland could go back to Stone Temple Pilots and Scott Stapp could reunite Creed, why can’t Chris Cornell return to Soundgarden? A few weeks ago in Seattle at a Tom Morello show, the non-Cornell members of Soundgarden played on a public stage for the first time in years. Cornell said that if he had been there, he’d have jumped up on stage with them. Well, the other night when Cornell brought his “Scream” concert to Seattle, his old guitarist from Soundgarden Kim Thayil visited. Though they didn’t jam together, it does show that they’re on good terms clearly from Cornell’s twitter: “Kim came to the show. was very good to see him. he is a very special and wonderful person.2:40 AM Apr 28th from web”. Cornell, Kim, and Queensryche’s Chris DeGarmo (and two other dudes I don’t recognize) posed for the photo here in the post (Thank you Chris Mooney!).
Cornell still enjoys playing a lot of Soundgarden songs live. It wouldn’t be farfetched for these guys to play a few shows live. We’re not asking for a new album (yet), we just wanna see “Outshined” with the whole band dammit!
Chris Cornell’s remaining tour dates
4/29 Crystal Ballroom Portland, OR
5/1 Grand Ballroom San Francisco, CA
5/2 House of Blues Anaheim, CA
5/3 Wiltern Theatre Los Angeles, CA

I sure do hope we see a Soundgarden reunion too. There’s so much bad blood there though with Kim T.
Thanks for posting this! With so much bad news being posted it’s good to see some positivity!!!! Everyone wants to hate on Creed. yeah, I’d like to see them go triple DIAMOND, sell 35 millions records, right? exactly.
