Weird Al is all about “Craigslist” (Video)


Yesterday, “Weird Al” Yankovic released his new single “Craigslist,” the second song of Yankovic’s 4 song digital EP “The Internet Sessions” due out next year. The song sounds a lot like a Doors song especially because Doors keyboardist Ray Manzarek plays on the track. The video for “Craigslist” was shot by Al’s friend Liam Lynch, director of “Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny” (and the nerd-rocker behind “United States of Whatever”). The “Craigslist” video is meant to be trippy with all those usual psychedelic effects and has Yankovic dressed as the late Doors frontman Jim Morrison. We were working with a considerably smaller budget, which was consistent with the look we were trying to achieve,” declared Yankovic. “We literally shot it in Liam’s garage.”

“Weird Al” plans on releases three more songs digitally over the course of the summer. Check out the video for “Craigslist” below:
