English pop sensation Mika’s sophomore album, The Boy Who Knew Too Much (Casablanca/Universal Republic Records), has debuted at #19 on the Top 200 chart, landing a Top 5 spot on the iTunes album chart for the entirety of its first release week. The Boy Who Knew Too Much is the lauded follow up to 2007’s Life In Cartoon Motion, which has sold over 5 million copies worldwide.

In other Mika news, the singer will returned to American televisions last night October 14th, when he brought his amazing live show to The Late Show with David Letterman (video below). He’ll do it again on October 22nd when he hits Ellen. This taping follows a brilliant performance on Good Morning America last week, playing the infectious new single “Blame It On the Girls.”

Claiming the space between Freddie Mercury, Elton John, David Bowie and ABBA, Mika’s incredible songs have propelled him to worldwide acclaim. Co-produced by Mika and Greg Wells (Katy Perry, P!nk), The Boy Who Knew Too Much straddles a line between childish naïvete and world-worn sophistication with songs that are ebulliently bold, embracing the mysteries, melodramas, adrenaline and vitality of one’s teenage years to startling affect. The arrangements are bigger and more beautiful than ever before, and they will no doubt come alive on the stage when Mika returns to America for select shows this October. (Tour dates are below.)

Praise for The Boy Who Knew Too Much…

“…driving, exuberant pop…Mika synthesizes his inspirations with a melodic and rhythmic savvy that make his tunes sound entirely fresh.” (3.5 stars) – USA Today

“…a jangly, bright pop record…you can’t help but we astounded by the purity of Mika’s vocals…” (3 stars) – New York Post
