To herald the release of their new album One Life Stand, Hot Chip will be bringing their explosive live show back to North America in April. The band will be playing tracks from new album as well as old favorites.

The xx will be the band’s special guests on this tour.
Hot Chip have become legendary for their unequivocally exuberant live performances, helping them to become one of the world’s most original and loveable artists. As with their sold-out tour last September, the band will once again feature a live drummer on these dates adding an extra dimension to their already exhilarating shows.

Here’s what some critics have said of their shows last year:

Hot Chip was hot all right. The English electro-pop act packed the Sahara tent at Coachella on Saturday evening, and then some, blinding the crowd with beats…” – Los Angeles Times

“A non-stop pressure cooker of a performance.”- Boston Herald

Tickets will be on sale for the public on November 23 for the following dates:

April 16 – Oakland, CA – Fox Theater

April 19 – Chicago, IL – Riviera Theatre

April 20 – Toronto, ON – Koolhaus

April 22 – New York, NY – Terminal 5

April 24 – Washington, DC – 9:30 Club

As previously announced, One Life Stand will be released on February 9, 2010. Fans will have the chance to pre-buy the album on amazon.com now. Check out the Hot Chip artist store at amazon.com in the coming weeks for exclusive streams and webisodes.

The tracklisting for One Life Stand is as follows:
