Singer, songwriter and American Idol alumni, Kimberly Caldwell, will be releasing her debut album, Without Regret on Vanguard/Capitol Records on April 6th. Produced by Marshall Altman (Matt Nathanson, Trevor Hall, Kate Voegele), the album features four songs co-written by Caldwell as well as tunes written by Diane Warren, Kara DioGuardi and Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger.

For Caldwell, Without Regret’s overall theme is just being human. “Like everyone else, I’ve had my hardships: broken family, broken hearts: I’ve been able to write honestly about the experiences in my life that have affected me in both good ways and bad. If my music can give someone that push they need just to keep on going, then I’ve done my job.”

With powerful, gutsy vocals and passionate performances, the songs on this album range from the full-throttle rockers “Going, Going, Gone” and the first single “Mess of You” to the graceful ballads “Say Love,” “If You’re Gonna Fall” and the powerfully emotive “Heart Like Mine.” Caldwell also covers Melissa Etheridge’s “Sleep While I Drive.”

The strength of her songs, plus her incredible voice, landed Caldwell a deal with the prestigious independent label Vanguard Records, part of the Welk Music Group. Shortly thereafter, Vanguard partnered with EMI Music Group to release Without Regret through Vanguard/Capitol Records.

Having been a performer most of her life, she first gained national recognition as one of the top finalists in the second season of “American Idol”. Caldwell went on to become a national correspondent on the Fox Sports Network and later as correspondent and host for the TV Guide Network. She was recently a print model for the 2009 YMI Jeanswear campaign and host of the MTV Series “P. Diddy’s Starmaker.”

MySpace Music is excited to announce the exclusive unveiling of the first single from the highly anticipated Almost Alice soundtrack. Presently, users can stream the song “Follow Me Down” from 3OH!3 via the social networking site’s music channel. In the coming weeks, MySpace Music will continue to premiere songs from the soundtrack as well as hosting the full album stream leading up to the film’s release. The upcoming MySpace Music premieres are as follows: Avril Lavigne – “Alice” (Feb. 4), All Time Low – “Painting Flowers” (Feb. 19), Almost Alice complete album stream (Feb. 28). To listen to “Follow Me Down” from 3OH!3 visit: http://www.myspace.com/music.

Almost Alice boasts an eclectic array of recording artists with original songs based on some of the most charismatic characters in literary history, such as “In Transit” performed by Mark Hoppus and Pete Wentz. Other artists include The All-American Rejects, Shinedown, 3OH!3, Franz Ferdinand and All Time Low. “Very Good Advice” performed by Robert Smith, is the only song from Disney’s 1951 animated film “Alice in Wonderland” that appears on the collection.

From Walt Disney Pictures and visionary director Tim Burton comes an epic 3D fantasy adventure Alice in Wonderland, a magical and imaginative twist on some of the most beloved stories of all time. Johnny Depp stars as the Mad Hatter and Mia Wasikowska as 19-year-old Alice, who returns to the whimsical world she first encountered as a young girl, reuniting with her childhood friends: the White Rabbit, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the Dormouse, the Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat, and of course, the Mad Hatter. Alice embarks on a fantastical journey to find her true destiny and end the Red Queen’s reign of terror. The all-star cast also includes Anne Hatthaway, Helena Bonham Carter and Crispin Glover. The screenplay is by Linda Woolverton.

Sherwood, purveyors of feel good California rock, will be hitting the road launching a U.S. headlining tour in support of its most recent effort QU. The tour kicks off February 17 in Los Angeles at the famed Roxy Theater.

A Beach Boys-inspired power pop band hailing from San Luis Obispo, California, Sherwood came together in 2002 while the band members were still students at the local university. Now signed to Myspace Records, they’ve released their debut Summer EP followed by two full length releases (Sing, But Keep Going in 2005 and 2007’s A Different Light).

QU, released October 2009, is the band’s third full length and is arguably Sherwood’s most mature and accessible yet, as its undeniable pop sensibilities showcase a band coming into its own and fully realizing its potential. Fans have noticed, as Sherwood’s MySpace page has logged an astounding 18 million plays, making it the third largest MySpace profile in the world.

Teaming up with producer Brad Wood ( Liz Phair, Smashing Pumpkins and Sunny Day Real Estate) in a rented Oakland apartment for nine months, the band amassed 85 songs that were eventually whittled down to 12 unabashed power pop songs that made the final cut.

Sherwood’s brand new music video for the song “You Are” will world premiere on MySpace Music on February 12. The video was directed by Long Beach hipster Matt Wignall who also produced music and videos for Cold War Kids.

In the video, which premiered on AOL, the two phenoms face each other in a guitar show-down of epic proportions. Click here to watch.
