The prodigious New York/Montreal-based electro-funk favorites, Chromeo, have issued another glimpse of what’s in store from their forthcoming third studio album Business Casual. Available at all digital retailers worldwide via Atlantic Records, “Don’t Turn The Lights On” finds the iconic duo exploring new sonic territories and themes while firmly holding their ground as the unrivaled kings of contemporary-yet-timeless synth-infused pop.

Premiering last Friday on Stereogum, “Don’t Turn The Lights On” bridges the gap between the electro favorites of their debut album She’s in Control, with the personal side of Chromeo that emerged on tracks such as “Momma’s Boy”, from their 2007 release Fancy Footwork. The result is an increasingly addictive track that provokes heartfelt nostalgia in ways that only Chromeo can compose – delivering a nod to their 80′s funk and R&B progenitors while exposing the matured songwriting mastery to come.

Following their performance with Daryl Hall that the New York Times hailed as “Bonnaroo Gold”, the band is touring select festival dates in Europe while they prep an all new stage show for the Business Casual Tour beginning on July 26th, presented by Green Label Sound. Full list of North American tour dates listed below.

Multi-Platinum hard rock band Disturbed have scored their highest chart entry position at Active Rock radio to date with the No. 5 bow of “Another Way To Die,” the electrifying new single from their upcoming album Asylum. The track also debuted at No. 6 on the Mainstream Rock chart and was the No. 1 Most Added at Active and Modern Rock.

The band have also just announced that Reprise Records will be releasing Asylum on August 31st, 2010. Cover art for Asylum has just been revealed on their website, www.disturbed1.com.

On August 17th the band will hit the road to headline the first annual Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival, which runs through October 4th. On June 8th Eyes Set To Kill released their highly anticipated album, Broken Frames through BreakSilence Records which you can purchase from iTunes or Amazon. The band is currently premiering the new video for the title track on MTV. Check it out here.

AOL Radio is also giving away an MP3 of “Broken Frames,” download it for free here.

Recorded at Wade Studios in Ocala, FL with producer Andrew Wade (A Day To Remember), the album takes the sparkling melodic prowess that Eyes Set To Kill has become known for, and fuses it with a new found sense of aggression to create the heaviest album of the band’s career.

“Andrew Wade is really the first producer that ever challenged us as a band and took us out of our comfort zone. He made us try things that we probably wouldn’t have done in the past,” Alexia said. “Andrew had me try a lot of different things and he was the one that suggested I try singing an octave higher for this record, which really helped me try and find my voice as a vocalist.”

“On our last record we were concentrating so hard on writing solid songs that we forgot to visualize how they would work in a live setting,” adds guitarist Greg Kerwin. “With this record we wanted to make sure that the material would make our fans go crazy when they see us live, but still be fun for us to play live.”

Eyes Set To Kill will be playing on the Warped Tour this entire summer. Make sure to check them out on the Ernie Ball Stage each day. For a full list of tour dates go to the Warped Tour website.

Dead Country are going out on tour for two weeks with the Toadies. The first date will be July 17th in Houston, TX at the House of Blues (tour dates below). The video for the song “Euro Thrash” premiered earlier in the month and can be viewed here.

Dead Country released a self-titled EP in April which was recorded at the Foo Fighters’ Studio 606 in Los Angeles, features four tracks “Euro Thrash,” “The Shade,” “Satori In Luzern” & “Sea Change.” You can purchase the EP right now from iTunes or Amazon.

Lead singer Nick Long created Dead Country in late 2008 after he moved back to L.A. from Switzerland. Influences such as Nirvana, Fugazi, Jawbreaker and Rites of Spring propel the band’s thought-provoking lyrics, rhythmic melodies and driving sound.

Most recently Dead Country went on a west coast tour with the recently reunited Far. For three weeks in March the band went out on the road with The Bronx and also played shows with Sunny Day Real Estate in 2009.
