The Whigs Playing Leno 8/12, On Tour with Black Keys and Kings Of Leon

The Whigs are excited to make their Tonight Show with Jay Leno debut August 12th. The performance comes in support of their latest album, IN THE DARK, which has been hailed by many for what Newsday praises as “blending melodies from 70s Rolling Stones and 80s Replacements with 90s grunge underpinnings to build a whole new rock animal.” The Athens, GA trio, who just completed a tour with The Hold Steady, will join the Kings of Leon and Black Keys for a series of dates beginning September 2nd. The band will also make appearances at this year’s Outside Lands, Bumbershoot and Voodoo Music Festivals. Tour dates below.

The Whigs are proud to be a part of Spin Magazine’s 25th Anniversary concert series in New York City. The band will perform with The Black Keys tonight, Wednesday, July 28th.

Since the release of IN THE DARK, the band has performed on the Late Show with David Letterman and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, completed a USO tour of Germany and The UK, shared the stage with the Kings of Leon in Hyde Park (London, UK) and toured with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Band Of Skulls, among others.
