Iwrestledabearonce Head To Japan For First Time In Late November; ‘The Ghostbustour’ U.S. Dates Underway Now

Iwrestledabearonce are set to make their first-ever trip to Japan in late November, joining Japanese headliners (and onetime IWABO U.S. tourmates) FACT and Australian five-piece Closure In Moscow for a run of dates starting November 26 in Tokyo. The seven-date excursion wraps December 7 in Osaka.

“Words cannot begin to describe our excitement for this tour,” says IWABO guitarist Steven Bradley. “Not only do we get to experience amazing Japanese culture and meet awesome Japanese people, but we get to do it with our Japanese brothers FACT and our Australian buds Closure In Moscow! Sake and sushi time bitches! Stoked!”

Meanwhile, Iwrestledabearonce’s headlining HK Army Clothing and MerchNow Present: The Ghostbustour launched yesterday in front of a packed house in IWABO’s home base of Birmingham, AL. The month-long trek, which wraps October 24 in Iwrestledabearonce’s original hometown of Shreveport, LA, also features Eyes Set To Kill, Chelsea Grin, The Chariot, and Vanna.

Iwrestledabearonce has received critical accolades for their one-of-a-kind, fearless live shows. Jonathan Tully of the Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel praised, “Iwrestledabearonce’s Krysta Cameron has a roar that any metal band would be proud of…” (July 25, 2010). Elsewhere, TheSilverTongueOnline.com said IWABO are “continuing to redefine what avant-garde means,” adding, “Vocalist Krysta Cameron wailed, shrieked, growled, chirped, and squealed along in tandem with the rest of the band…Playing fan favorites, including ‘Tastes Like Kevin Bacon’ and ‘Alaskan Flounder Basket,’ Iwrestledabearonce put on a great show” (August 2, 2010).

General admission tickets for the all-ages Ghostbustour shows are on sale now, with prices ranging from $12-$15. Tickets and more information are available at www.TheGhostbustoursite.com. 50 VIP ticket packages per show are available for $30 each through Artist Arena. VIP packages include a ticket, meet and greet with Iwrestledabearonce at the show, t-shirt, early entry and a photo with IWABO by photographer Jeremy Saffer which will be printed and autographed onsite. Iwrestledabearonce–vocalist Krysta Cameron, guitarists Steven Bradley and John Ganey, bassist Mike “Rickshaw” Martin and drummer Mikey Montgomery–are touring in support of their recently released It’s All Happening (Century Media Records) three disc deluxe reissue CD, which includes the It’s All Remixed bonus CD and DVD, featuring a variety of remixes and exclusive video. According to Rick Florino of ArtistDirect.com, “…the Louisiana electro-tech-grind-jazz-techno-metal outfit have a sound that’s so distinctly deadly it’s earth-shattering. There’s no genre safe from Iwrestledabearonce’s unbreakable sonic grapple…” (July 21, 2010).
