Riding high on a career-defining year, Make Do And Mend is excited to premiere the video for “Oak Square” exclusively on mtvU’s The Freshmen. Fans can watch and vote for the video here as often as they would like. mtvU’s The Freshmen spotlights emerging artists on the channel and on its website and recognized Make Do And Mend is poised for a breakout year, thanks in part to their full-length debut, End Measured Mile (Panic/Paper + Plastick Records).

“Oak Square” is the first single off the album, which received an overwhelming positive response and topped many critics “Best Of 2010” lists, also landing the band in Alternative Press’ prestigious 100 Bands You Need To Know in 2011.

“These upcoming tours will be the first real shows we are going to be able to stretch our legs out on songs from our full length,” says Make Do And Mend drummer Matt Carroll. “We are all really, really excited to start playing a lot of new songs. We feel like these tours are going to be our coming out party for End Measured Mile, and are stoked to see how kids react to the songs live.” Make Do And Mend recently made their SXSW debut earlier this month, and currently are overseas on their first UK tour supporting Fireworks.

The band will immediately hit the road in the states for a month’s worth of tour dates with The Wonder Years, Fireworks, Such Gold, and Living With Lions beginning April 8th. Rounding out their touring schedule for the first half of 2011, Make Do And Mend will also be playing Krazyfest, Rain Fest (Panic Records showcase), and a few shows with Hot Water Music.
