Little Dragon Announce New Album Details

Gothenburg, Sweden’s Little Dragon are pleased to announce their third LP due in July via Peace Frog / EMI. After spending the better half of 2010 touring with the Gorillaz and De La Soul around the world, the digi-soul quartet put the finishing touches on their long anticipated follow up to the critically adored Machine Dreams full length from 2009. The first single, “Nightlight”, from their forthcoming release can be heard via Pitchfork Media. The title track from Ritual Union was performed live on the Late Night w/ Jimmy Fallon show (where Questlove is a fan) a couple weeks ago following SXSW.

Little Dragon’s grassroots following is spread through organic means of marketing and word of mouth from fans of all walks of life ranging from DJ Shadow and Raphael Saadiq to KCRW in LA who put them in the highest rotation only second to Radiohead at one point. Most recently Big Boi shared his love for Little Dragon and announced (via twitter) that he was working with them on music for his next album.

Little Dragon will do a short run of shows in the US at the end of May leading up to their performance at The Roots 4th Annual Picnic on June 4th, 2011 in Philadelphia.
