Today, Ubisoft announced the development of The Black Eyed Peas® Experience video game, the second game in the multi-million selling ‘Experience’ franchise. The new dance game will feature fun dance moves as well as hit songs from The Black Eyed Peas multi-platinum selling albums (Interscope Records). It will be released on the Kinect™ for Microsoft Xbox 360® entertainment system and Wii™ system by Nintendo.

Ubisoft’s Experience franchise has sold more than three million copies to date by making an artist’s universe accessible to fans in an interactive and immersive game. The Black Eyed Peas Experience takes that concept even further, and features a comprehensive selection of The Black Eyed Peas’ hit music tracks as well as dance routines arranged by the group’s famed creative director and choreographer, Fatima Robinson.

In the Microsoft Xbox 360 version of the game, which Ubisoft is developing in partnership with renowned music game developers iNiS, players will control their on-screen avatar via the Kinect for Microsoft Xbox 360 entertainment system while following the dance moves of 3D avatars, including each of The Black Eyed Peas: apl.de.ap, Fergie, Taboo and will.i.am. The Wii version of The Black Eyed Peas Experience, being developed by Ubisoft Quebec and Ubisoft Paris, will feature game play comparable to Ubisoft’s Just Dance titles, where players hold a Wii Remote and follow the moves of the The Black Eyed Peas’ on-screen avatars.

If you don’t love classic rock, you might only know Lindsey Buckingham from the Saturday Night Live sketch What Up With That?. That’ll soon change as the Fleetwood Mac singer and guitarist is prepping the release of his new album Seeds We Sow. The solo album was written, performed and produced by no one other than Lindsey. On last night’s finale of “The Voice,” finalist Beverly McClellen took the stage to perform OneRepublic’s hit single “Good Life.” The rocker from team Christina put her unique spin on the track alongside OneRepublic’s lead singer Ryan Tedder.

“Good Life” appears on OneRepublic’s album Waking Up which is on sale at iTunes for $7.99 until 7/4. Fans who have previously purchased singles off of the album can use the “Complete My Album” feature to grab the CD for an even lower price.

Today, June 30th marks the official launch of “Incubus HQ Live”.

For 7 days (6/30 – 7/06) Incubus will be inviting fans in the Los Angeles area to an undisclosed location for the most unique, personal and up-close fan experience imaginable! In “Incubus HQ Live” the web meets reality; it’s where web technology combines with fan-to-band interaction complete with impromptu live sets, live web streams, instructional clinics, and full performances from the band all being captured in a real-time documentary.

The “Incubus HQ Live” space will be fully equipped with cameras and other technology contributed by numerous technology supporters, including Sony, Livestream, Viddy, Anvato, HD Cinema, and VER. Cameras will be live to capture all of the action and stream it while it’s happening for fans around the world. Other camera angles will include fly-on-the-wall perspectives, hand-held cameras and even some of the band members could hop behind the lens.

Fans are also invited to contribute to this living and breathing art instillation via message boards, fan generated photo uploads and Twitter updates that will all be projected on the walls of the space for the band and fans to see (provided by Tweetbeam).

According to Incubus lead singer Brandon Boyd, “We have such cool mediums to use on this project that help us to interact with our fans. Our goal is to provide an unprecedented level of access to Incubus, our video content and to create engagement that inspires and empowers our fans to express themselves creatively and share their thoughts with the world and with us.”

“Incubus HQ Live” will be open daily from 10am – 6pm PDT, where various members of the band will be present during the day. New Orleans’ rock innovators MUTEMATH have announced that they will release their third album for Teleprompt/Warner Bros. Records, entitled, Odd Soul, on October 4th, 2011. The album, which was produced by the band, is the follow-up to 2009′s Armistice, which debuted at No. 3 on Billboard’s Digital Albums and Alternative Albums chart, No. 4 on the Rock chart, and No. 18 on the Top 200 album chart, and was called a “must-have album” by the New York Post.

Odd Soul came together over the course of six months, during which the members of MUTEMATH – Paul Meany (vocals/keyboards), Roy Mitchell-Cardenas (bass/guitar), and Darren King (drums) – locked themselves down at Meany’s home studio in New Orleans and didn’t emerge until they were ready to play it for others. “The idea of complete isolation was the only thing that appealed to us. No camera guys, no producers, no engineers, no record label people, no management. No one would hear or comment on what we were doing until we were done,” Meany says. “We didn’t want to make blurry music. We set out to record something that was unapologetically us.”

Fans will get a first taste of Odd Soul when MUTEMATH introduce their songs during two very special shows in August. The band will perform at the Troubadour in Los Angeles on August 16th and at the Mercury Lounge in New York City on August 25th. Since releasing their first EP in late 2004, MUTEMATH’s inherent nature has challenged limitations and expanded parameters. Atlantic recording group Staind has announced details of their hugely anticipated new album. “STAIND” – which marks the iconic hard rock band’s seventh studio album and first full-length release in three years – arrives in stores and at all digital retailers on September 13th.

Produced by Johnny K – known for his work with 3 Doors Down, Disturbed, and Sevendust, not to mention his Grammy Award-nominated collaboration with Staind, 2008’s “THE ILLUSION OF PROGRESS” – and mixed by the legendary Chris Lord-Alge, “STAIND” stands as Staind’s most intense and powerful work to date. On July 26, Nashville-based combo The Features will release their third full-length album, Wilderness. The album – which follows 2009′s acclaimed Some Kind Of Salvation, the first release from Kings of Leon’s label, Serpents and Snakes, a venture with music publisher, Bug Music, – began coming together upon The Features’ return home after a lengthy 2010 tour alongside Manchester Orchestra. Matt Pelham (guitar/vocals) and Roger Dabbs (bass), Mark Bond (keyboards), and Rollum Haas (drums) enjoyed a brief domestic hiatus before quickly hitting the practice space to woodshed new material. They teamed with longtime friend, producer Brian Carter, who recorded their 2003 release, The Beginning EP and engineer Craig Alvin at Carter’s Paradox Productions Recording Service in Nashville, Tennessee.

Wilderness is an amalgamation of influences and inspirations – spanning elements of Krautrock, indie, psychedelia, and classic AOR – to conjure up The Features’ own inimitable, indescribable sound. Coming into the studio straight away off the road gave The Features a full head of steam, which meshed with their desire to capture some of their on-stage power. The goal, Pelham says, was to make a record that sounded, “like the band was playing live in your living room.” Songs like “Another One” and “Fats Domino” are marvels of pop ingenuity, animated by vivid lyrics, unshakable hooks, and experimental soul.

As the band gears up for the release of Wilderness, in an effort to satiate fans’ desire to hear some of the new music as well as offer limited edition vinyl (which we all love!), The Features have released the “Rambo” 7-inch. “Rambo” appears on Wilderness and the B-side, “This Much I Know,” is an unreleased song that fans may recognize from live shows.

The sophomore album by BURN HALO, UP FROM THE ASHES, was released on Tuesday on Rawkhead Rekords (through Warner Music Group’s Independent Label Group) and can be heard in its entirety on AOL (http://aol.it/eQCe0l) and Rockaccess.net (http://bit.ly/j4CaMd).

Produced by Colby Wedgeworth, this new collection confirms BURN HALO’s evolution from being essentially a solo project by former 18 Visions singer/songwriter James Hart to a full-blown, collaborative band. The music has grown too, and now marries the anthemic, radio-ready hard rock of their 2009 self-titled debut to metalcore flourishes reminiscent of 18 Visions.
