Long-time supporters, MTV have added the video across all channels this week including MTV2, MTVU, MTV Hits and MTV Jams. Amy Doyle, Executive Vice President – Music & Talent Programming at MTV Networks, commented “Tinie Tempah instantly connected with the MTV audience and is transcending boundaries; we are excited to continue to embrace his art and witness his meteoric rise.”
“Til I’m Gone” follows Tinie’s platinum-plus debut single “Written In The Stars,” an infectious, message-driven single which Entertainment Weekly nailed on the head when they predicted it to be one of the “next big hits of 2011.” Rolling Stone recently sent out the latest hit alert when they put “Til I’m Gone” on their Hot List tipping off readers to “Prepare for the Brit-hop invasion! Tinie’s new jam, featuring medicinally enhanced rhymer, Wiz, sounds like the future – all supersleek synths, skittering drums and contrasting accents. Ace.”
Both of these undeniable hits are featured on Tinie Tempah’s recently released U.S. album Disc-Overy. The charismatic 22-year-old artist is already a phenomenon in the U.K. where Disc-Overy debuted at number one and produced four Top Five singles, including two number ones, and is the U.K.’s top-selling debut album by a British artist in 2010.
In addition to his pair of BRIT Awards, Tinie has officially gone global with a recent win this past weekend at the BET Awards for BEST INTERNATIONAL UK ARTIST and a stand-out performance at the U.K.’s premiere music festival, Glastonbury with the NME giving him a 9 out 10 performance saying “he’s kicked it all off with the biggest show of his life.”
