The Audio Perv

Los Angeles electro-rock band Standing Shadows just spent 2 weeks recording in Joshua Tree desert with producer Chris Goss (Queens of The Stone Age, Arctic Monkeys, Duke Spirit, UNKLE) at Dave Catching’s studio, Rancho de la Luna, along with engineer Ethan Allen (Gram Rabbit, Daniel Lanois, Spindrift). They have sweated out 3 amazing new songs in the ungodly desert heat to be released in October 2011. From glockenspiels and FunMachines, to keytars and pots and pans, the band played on every instrument and surface available while collaborating with everyone involved…Goss on kitchen cabnets and hand-claps….Dave Catching, while grilling lunch and dinner for everyone, also threw down some slick guitar licks on one of the new titles called “One By One.”
