Against Me! Re-Release “White Crosses” Today Via Total Treble Music

Gainesville, FL’s Against Me! are proud to announce the re-release of White Crosses, the band’s fifth full-length studio album. Released today digitally though the band’s very own Total Treble Music, the album, which was originally released by Sire Records on June 7, 2010, is now presented in two parts, White Crosses and Black Crosses, and is available through all digital retailers now.

This reissue is a 28-track collection that includes the original 10-song album with four bonus tracks, all produced by Butch Vig and mixed by Alan Moulder. The second half, Black Crosses, is a collection of alternate versions and unreleased songs. Of the 14 self-produced Black Crosses songs, nine were recorded with drummer Warren Oakes at Goldentone Studios in Gainesville, FL, shortly before he departed the band in Spring 2009. The other five acoustic songs were recorded at Crescendo Studios, also in Gainesville, in early 2010. Both the 3xLP vinyl and 2xCD versions of this release are presented in their originally intended packaging created by Steak Mtn., including a 32-page lyric and art booklet. Both 2xCD (available August 9) and 3xLP (available August 30) White Crosses reissue formats and bundles can be pre-ordered through Total Treble online now.

Additionally, the band recently released the music video for their new single “Because of the Shame.” Directed by Jason Thrasher, the video is the band’s personal and lively homage to Common Grounds, a Gainesville, FL, mainstay that recently closed its doors after 15 years of serving both the local and nationally touring music community. Check out “Because of the Shame” HERE .

Currently, Against Me! are performing as part of the Vans Warped Tour and will continue their summer 2011 run tomorrow, Wednesday, July 27, at Farm Bureau Live at Virginia Beach in Virginia Beach, VA. On June 14, the band released “Russian Spies”/”Occult Enemies,” a two-song offering recorded with new drummer Jay Weinberg at the recently closed Smart Studios in Madison, WI. The band will be completing their summer with a string of shows opening for blink-182 in Western Canada, after which they will perform a number of European headline dates as well as select dates with Frank Turner in the UK. After November, the band will begin preparing to record their sixth full-length album to be released on their own Total Treble Music.
