Coldplay’s highly anticipated 5th studio album, Mylo Xyloto, is now available on iTunes. Mylo Xyloto is also available in CD and vinyl formats, and as a special edition Pop-Up album. It was produced by Markus Dravs, Daniel Green, and Rik Simpson, with enoxification and additional composition by Brian Eno. Fans can hear clips from both side A and B of Mylo Xyloto in two video trailers the band have posted on their YouTube channel.
Last week the band premiered the video for “Paradise” the first single off of Mylo Xyloto. The video was directed by Mat Whitecross and was filmed in South Africa and London. The video can be seen here: http://youtu.be/1G4isv_Fylg.
American Express, in partnership with VEVO and YouTube, announced today its full roster of exclusive fan experiences and enhanced digital features for GrammyÂ® award-winning rock band Coldplayâ€™s performance within the â€œAmerican Express Unstagedâ€ music series. The show will be streamed globally as a live VEVO event on YouTube from one of Spainâ€™s most famous arenas, Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas in Madrid, at 4:00PM ET / 1:00PM PT on Wednesday, October 26 at www.YouTube.com/ColdplayVEVO with special guest, artist Fedde Le Grand.
A first for the â€œAmerican Express Unstagedâ€ music series, Coldplayâ€™s performance will showcase various opportunities, including an opportunity for fans to create butterflies to be featured in a visually stunning art installation during the show, a takeover of several HD screens in Times Square, New York City, and an exclusive contest for one fan to win tickets to an upcoming Coldplay concert. The global event will come just two days after Coldplayâ€™s critically-acclaimed fifth studio album, MYLO XYLOTO (Capitol Records), hits stores. â€œAmerican Express Unstagedâ€ has featured such recognized musicians, paired with well-known directors, including Arcade Fire with Terry Gilliam, John Legend & The Roots with Spike Lee, Sugarland with Kenny Ortega, Duran Duran with David Lynch, and My Morning Jacket with Todd Haynes.
The band have also launched a personalized album artwork application on http://coldplay.com/mx.html, where fans can create their own Mylo Xyloto artwork using their initials. Once it is created fans are encouraged to post it on their Twitter and Facebook with the #ColdplayMX hashtag.
