Rising stars of British electro-pop The Good Natured will perform select dates in January 2012, their first ever American shows outside of SXSW, in support of their first U.S. release Skeleton, which dropped digitally today. This expanded 7-track U.S.-only version includes the songs from the band’s acclaimed U.K. EPs Skeleton and Be My Animal plus a bonus remix. Fans can dowload the EP here from Amazon or iTunes: http://bit.ly/k50rPk
Fronted by the beguiling 20-year old singer and principle songwriter Sarah McIntosh, The Good Natured made serious waves at SXSW 2011 with their rousing performances, converting the jaded and the wide-eyed alike with their pop-noir anthems and Sarah’s soaring vocals. Now U.S. fans will get a first hand chance to see the band (Sarah, her brother Hamish McIntosh on bass, and George Hinton on drums) play official shows, performing established favorites plus previews of songs from their debut album, slated for release in Spring 2012. See below for latest confirmed tour dates.
The band’s single and video “Skeleton,” released in the U.K. this past summer, and already a firm favorite with Brip-pop watchers around the globe, is already playing on MTVU in the U.S. A prime illustration of Sarah’s expressive and darkly sexual metaphorical songwriting, “Skeleton” along with other tracks on the EP, was produced by Swedish studio wizard Patrik Berger, known for his work with Robyn. In keeping with this Scandinavian theme, Sarah can also be heard on the new single “Alive” by Swedish electronic wunderkind Adrian Lux.
