The Audio Perv

Taking the stage by storm YACHT was the first band we caught at Fun Fun Fun Fest and man did they set the bar high. Starting off as a solo project for Jona Bechtolt, YACHT now also includes Claire L. Evans and a few touring musicians. Evans took the stage in an all-white ensemble bringing a surge of energy that could be felt immediately. The rest of her bandmates followed and we were all in for a ride through a non-stop dance party. YACHT is probably one of the most photogenic bands I’ve ever photographed. Evans passionately sang and moved in synchronized dances with Bechtolt and both made sure to get up close and personal, giving the fans (and us photographers) everything we wanted. Everyone was having a blast even a few of the security people were caught watching the show and moving to the beat. One thing is for sure, the next time I hear YACHT is in the area I will not be missing the show.
