Tribes are a well needed return to straight up rock & roll; melodic guitar riffs, DIY mentality and loud anthemic tunes. No synths or programing, just an ambitious young band from the UK with great songs and a love for the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle. They’ve been building a great buzz in the UK, supporting bands like The Pixies, Mystery Jets, The Kooks and Kaiser Chiefs and were just confirmed for the NME Awards 2012 tour in February with Two Door Cinema Club and Metronomy.

Drawing inspiration from 90′s rock bands like Pavement, Nirvana and the Libertines, Tribes are working hard on their debut full length Baby (produced by Mike Crossey – Arctic Monkeys, Razorlight, Foals) which will be released next year on Universal Republic in the U.S.

In the meantime they’ll be in the US for a few dates in December in support of their just released EP, When We Were Children (stream it here). We’re giving away tickets to their show at Mercury Lounge this Thursday night in New York City.
