[...] If last night’s any indication, David Letterman knows how to tweet. So, it makes sense he’d nab a buzz band – more specifically, Manchester’s own WU LYF. After multiple attempts to trend Brian Williams, The Late Show host introduced the UK quartet to audiences nationwide. They arrived, albeit scruffy and unintelligible. On cue, the quartet shuffled out an emotional cut of “Heavy Pop”, one of many sky reaching climbers off last year’s incisive debut, Go Tell Fire to the Mountain. Blame it on the shakes, but the group disappeared before Letterman could even hang out with ‘em afterwards. Well, that’s partially true, vocalist Ellery James Roberts stuck around to shake his hand.
