Glassnote Records artist Two Door Cinema Club are excited to announce a run of US tour dates this spring. Currently headlining the sold out NME Tour in the UK, Two Door Cinema Club will make their return to the stage on May 31st at the House of Blues in Dallas, Texas, wrapping up on June 12th in Baltimore, Maryland at Rams Head Live.

The Northern Ireland based trio have spent the past few weeks in Los Angeles, California writing and recording new songs for their sophomore album which is due for release later this year. A follow up to their break out album TOURIST HISTORY, Two Door Cinema Club plan to return to the studio this spring to finish and hone their new songs, in preparation to debut them on the road this May and June. With a special message for their fans, Kevin Baird says:

“We’re very excited to be able to tell you that pretty much as soon as we finish up recording the new album we’ll be back on the road! We’re very excited to be heading back to the States to play a few shows in May and June. Expect to hear some pretty massive new songs we’re in the process of adding the finishing touches too as we speak.”

Two Door Cinema Club are Alex Trimble (vocals), Kevin Baird (bass) and Sam Halliday (guitar) and hail from just outside the Northern Ireland town of Belfast. The trio’s story began just three years ago when TOURIST HISTORY immediately shot up the iTunes chart to number 30 on the overall album chart and maintained the number 7 spot on the alternative chart. TOURIST HISTORY also made an impressive Top 10 debut on Billboard’s Heatseekers Album Chart. The album’s success was amplified by Two Door Cinema Club’s dynamic performance of “I Can Talk” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! upon release. Two Door Cinema Club have since rightfully become one of the most buzzed about bands of the year, selling out all four of their headlining North American tours, winning the mtvU Breaking Woodie Award (Best New Artist), and were hand-picked by VH1 to be a “You Oughta Know” Artist.

The band has been chosen by Paste Magazine as ‘The Best of What’s Next’, a ‘Breaking Out’ Artist by SPIN Magazine, ‘Best Bet of 2011 and 2012’ by Billboard Magazine, named the #1 album of 2010 by NYLON Magazine and have performed on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Last Call with Carson Daly and Jimmy Kimmel Live!
