The Joy Formidable Kick Off US Tour Tonight in SF


The Joy Formidable are about to embark on their first headlining US Tour of 2012, beginning on March 12 in San Francisco, CA. A number of the tour’s dates have already sold out, including two straight nights in San Francisco, Boston, and Toronto. The tour goes until April 2 in Toronto, with support along the tour provided by A Place To Bury Strangers and Exitmusic. Big Black Delta opens the SF shows as well as the LA show.

The band’s newest single is the pummeling rocker “A Heavy Abacus.” Watch the video here.

The band also recently filmed a performance at Sarm Studios of their song “Everchanging Spectrum of a Lie” from last year’s debut album The Big Roar, which you can watch here

The band have been busy at work on their sophomore album and follow-up to 2011’s The Big Roar, to be released sometime in 2012.
