[...] California’s delightful Best Coast released their sophomore effort, The Only Place, this week. In celebration, Bethany Cosentino and Bobb Bruno swung by New York City for The Late Show with David Letterman, where they knocked out their titular single to precision. One has to wonder, however, how many New Yorkers here agree with Cosentino’s assertions that the West simply is the best – we’re thinking not too many. Perhaps she’ll have better luck convincing the tanner folk who see Conan or The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Then again, pop music is universal.
