Bear Hands Announce Summer Tour, Release Free EP | The Audio Perv
10 Jul
2012

Following the release of a new three-track EP last week, Brooklyn’s Bear Hands are gearing up for a 15-date headlining North American tour. Kicking off with a hometown show at The Knitting Factory in NYC on July 20, the band’s first full tour of 2012 will take them along the East Coast and into the Midwest.

The follow-up to 2010′s debut LP Burning Bush Supper Club, Songs from Utopia Volume One is a collection of quasi-political “thought pieces” that serve as a manifestation of overwhelming white guilt and a pinko elitist liberal arts education. Released worldwide on July 4, 2012 it is also a birthday present for America. The EP is free and downloadable in its entirety from http://www.bearhandsband.com/.

Since the 2007 release of their debut EP, The Golden EP, Bear Hands have been building an incredible following – music critics, “the kids” and their peers in other bands have all fallen under Bear Hand’s spell. The band has toured the US and UK with the likes of Passion Pit and We Were Promised Jetpacks, and 2010′s Burning Bush Supper Club received raves from Pitchfork, FIlter, Spin, Under The Radar, Time Out New York and more, with single “High Society” landing at No. 3 on the Billboard Dance singles Chart. Tracks have been licensed to major shows/brands like MTV’s Skins, Entourage, Hung, French Connection and Ray-Ban.
