Deer Tick Announce Fall Tour Dates | The Audio Perv

2012

Partisan Records is excited to announce that Deer Tick has confirmed a run of October headlining tour dates. The 9-date tour, in support of the band’s 2011 full-length, Divine Providence, and 2012 EP, Tim, begins on October 13th at Putnam Den in Saratoga Springs, NY and culminates with a performance by John McCauley (and friends) at WFUV’s Live at Zankel Hall concert series at Carnegie Hall. The tour includes a jaunt to Canada, which surrounds a performance at Halifax Pop Explosion, in addition to a handful of New England dates. The full list of tour dates is below.

Deer Tick has spent much of the past year on the road, playing both club dates and festivals including Sasquatch Festival, Forecastle Festival, and Newport Folk Festival. The band has played songs off of the critically acclaimed Divine Providence on Late Show with David Letterman and The Conan O’Brien Show. New York Times referred to frontman John McCauley as “growly, funny, slyly insightful,” and Rolling Stone, in their “Best of Rock” list, deemed him as one of “rock’s last true wildmen.” SPIN called Divine Providence “revelatory,” while American Songwriter praised, “If this sounds like a rave, then you read it correctly. Divine Providence, music that the Creator Himself may have sent, is the best, funniest, most detailed, thrilling blast of rock and roll since The Hold Steady’s Boys And Girls In America.”
