Having brought the house down at their sold out Alexandra Palace homecoming gig last month, Bombay Bicycle Club are proud to announce the release of ‘Beg’, which is to be the last single released from ‘A Different Kind of Fix’, on July 9th.

The release of ‘Beg’ as a single is unique in that the song wasn’t actually featured on the original physical version of the album but as a bonus track on the digital album release. The band recently added the song to their live set and had an amazing response from fans, so decided to release it as their final single from this campaign. The news also comes after their recently announced and hotly tipped appearance at the BBC Hackney Weekend towards the end of June.

‘Beg’ was Zane’s Hottest Record last night on R1. You can listen to the track on the following official YouTube link:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74naF1Eueno

To celebrate the release of ‘Beg’ as the final single from the album, the band commissioned a remix by the American superstar disco production guru, Tom Moulton. The world-renowned record producer, whose previous collaborations include disco giants Gloria Gaynor and Grace Jones is known as the ‘King of Disco’. Moulton is widely credited as being the producer who invented the ‘Disco Mix’.

2012 has already been a whirlwind year for the quartet North London band who on top of selling out one of the biggest venues in London have: toured Australia with Elbow, been nominated for three NME awards and embarked on a headline tour across North America with two more trips across the pond scheduled for later this year.

Brooklyn-based quartet Beast Make Bomb have released a new single “Dream Boat,” which was premiered today on MTV Hive. The track follows the band’s previous two self-released EPs Sourpuss (2011) and Skinny Legs (2010), and marks the first of a series of singles that Beast Make Bomb plan to release this year.

As MTV Hive’s Dan Solomon states, “‘Dream Boat’ is the sort of rock song that never goes out of style. Built on a timeless, just-won’t-quit guitar riff, this track would sound just as at home on a ’90s alt-rock radio station as it does on whatever playlist you’ve made of the sounds of summer 2012 — and that’s just how the band likes it.”

Formed as NYU students in 2009, Beast Make Bomb have toured the country in support of several acts, including Cold War Kids, Tokyo Police Club, and The Whigs. The band was also featured at Rolling Stone Magazine’s 2011 SXSW showcase, sharing the stage with Queens of the Stone Age. The group is gearing up to play a string of dates in the New York-Boston area, see additional tour details below.

New York based LINFINITY have confirmed a fall 2012 release for their sophomore album, Lights in Cairo. Produced by Kevin McMahon (Real Estate, Titus Andronicus) and mixed by Matt Boynton (MGMT, Kurt Vile) Lights in Cairo is the follow up to 2010′s Martian’s Bloom released on American Myth Recordings.

The five piece band have made their new track “Miles” available on SoundCloud

The praise that followed Martian’s Bloom came from the likes of Rolling Stone and Pitchfork, the latter boasting “Von Wagner is a commanding presence, expressive and elegantly bombastic” and the Washington Post noting their unique songwriting “…can’t be categorized as any one style; it’s timeless.”

Since the release of their debut album, the band toured the US and played CMJ, their set catching the attention of The Wall Street Journal to write the band’s sound is similar to “the offspring of David Byrne and the Band: The New York quintet’s songs are compact yet anthematic.”

Recorded in upstate New York, Lights in Cairo is Linfinity’s strongest and most ambitious work yet. Led by principal songwriter and lead singer Dylan Von Wagner, newcomers Mark Evan Roth (guitar), Justin Repasky (keys) and Joe Zdaa (drums) join veteran bassist Grant Zubrisky.

A release date, final track listing and additional details will be announced shortly.

Today, Passion Pit released the first single from their highly anticipated album Gossamer. “Take A Walk,” the opening track from the 12-song LP to be released on July 24th on Columbia Records, is streaming now at: http://takeawalk.passionpitmusic.com/

Acclaimed for their unabashedly danceable live performances, Passion Pit warmed up for the upcoming release of Gossamer with a series of shows last month. They debuted tracks from the new album, including “Take A Walk,” as well as performed fan favorites from both Manners and the Chunk Of Change EP. Passion Pit will soon hit the summer festival circuit in addition to performing at world-renowned venues including Red Rocks Amphitheater and the Hollywood Bowl (a full list of tour dates can be found below).

More on the new album: “On Gossamer there is more of a dichotomy between the lyrics and the music. You hear my lyrics more precisely which is something I was ready for. The lyrics on this album have a lot to say about what the last two years of my life have been troubled with,” explains Angelakos. Gossamer was made throughout 2011 in Los Angeles and New York City, and finds Angelakos co-producing with Chris Zane, who helmed Manners.

Passion Pit is the dynamic musical mission of Michael Angelakos, the electronic wunderkind best known for his complex and multi-layered pop songs. Angelakos, who debuted with his notoriously charming Chunk Of Change EP in 2008, released Passion Pit’s debut full length Manners in 2009.

Reptar has announced that their forthcoming full length release is available to stream in full, a week prior to release. Entitled Body Faucet, the debut effort is due out on May 1st via Vagrant Records.

In March the Athens, GA based band played 13 riotous shows at Austin’s SXSW, including Comedy Central’s much buzzed about “Workaholics” party. Comedy Central loved the group so much, they decided to host the album stream on their own website and CC Insider Blog.

With a reputation as one of the most exciting touring acts of the moment, Reptar continue to sell out tour dates on their headline tour. The band SOLD OUT their headline stops in Austin, Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York City and has played to over 5,000 people on their current tour.

Produced by Ben Allen (Animal Collective, Gnarls Barkley, Washed Out), Body Faucet is the follow up to the group’s heralded debut EP Oblangle Fizz Y’all, which Rolling Stone praised for its, “…blend of upbeat rhythms, reggae-infected vocals and psychedelic textures.” Body Faucet finds the band delving deeper into world-music influences to compliment their unique blend of danceable and electro infused pop.

Hailing from Athens, GA, Reptar began playing music in late 2008. Since then, the quartet has gained a reputation for their frenzied, must-see live show. Reptar is Graham Ulicny (Vocals, Guitar), Andrew McFarland (Drums), Ryan Engelberger (Bass), and William Kennedy (Synth, Keys).

In the midst of preparing for Mexican Summer’s May 15th release of The Only Place, the follow-up to 2010′s Crazy For You LP, Best Coast is proud to announce a tremendous run of live shows in the US and UK. This new tour will see Bethany Cosentino and Bobb Bruno bringing The Only Place’s beautiful new songs to the big stage.

Consistent with previous Best Coast releases, The Only Place sees Cosentino handling all songwriting and rhythm guitar and multi-instrumentalist Bobb Bruno manning lead guitar, bass and drums. This time around, though, the band has enlisted renowned producer and composer Jon Brion to fully realize what Consentino has characterized as a more mature album than Crazy For You. Brion’s reputation precedes him at this point, but suffice to say that the cleaner, richer sound that he provides perfectly compliments the more complex instrumentation of this new offering from the band. Most notably, this applies to Cosentino’s vocals, which have been placed bare and beautiful at these songs’ forefront, rather than obscured by distortion and reverb.

The upcoming tour dates will be your first chance to witness for yourself the full effect of Best Coast’s gorgeous new offering. See the full schedule below and prepare yourself for The Only Place.
