So I recently bought Guitar Hero World Tour and Rock Band 2 (not the full kits on both, just the full Rock Band kit) and I’m really getting into Paramore. I’ve known about them for years back when I first heard Hayley Williams’s demo CD (Good job Steve-o!). Now, they’re exploding. That song “Decode” is great and it might be the best track on the Twilight soundtrack which has been in the Billboard top 10 for the last month or so. Here are the videos from their set at KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas show:

One of the most underrated rock bands out there is Three Days Grace. Adam Gontier sounds like Sully Erna from Godsmack without the grunts. The rest of the band is pretty solid (sorta fugly but solid musically). If they write that one ballad, they’ll get played on WPLJ 95.5 or maybe Z!00 WHTZ and they’ll explode. Here’s hoping that they write it soon. Until then, you can enjoy them rocking out with the videos below from their performance at KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Xmas:

AFI’s one of those bands that I recently rediscovered during the winter. Blaqk Audio’s pretty bitchin too. There should be a video of “Miss Murder” here but Photobucket, Youtube and all the other services will not let me upload the video because of copyright claims. You’ll have to watch the other seven songs below.

Here’s the latest in our series of posts on KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas show. Yes, the concert happened over three weeks ago but it was still a good show. Unfortunately, STP’s performance suffered a bit as Scott Weiland was off again as usual. Sigh.. he’s like that one friend you have who you think will get his shit straight but never does. Wait a second.. maybe I’m not the best person to be speaking about this. Anyways, check out the vids:

Death Cab For Cutie’s one of those bands that your friend comes up to you with and says “Have you heard these guys? They’re amazing!” and they have this stupid grin on their face like they “discovered” the band and they’re doing you a big favor by letting you in on the secret. Well **** them but Death Cab For Cutie’s been around for years and they put out their second major label release under Atlantic Records (thanks to A&R dude Sam Riback and the bitchy (still unemployed?) Mary Gormley). They also played KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Xmas and it looks like Nutrisystem worked for lead singer Ben Gibbard who has lost a ton of weight and is engaged to actress/wannabe singer Zooey Deschanel. Rise Against is one of The Audio Perv’s favorite bands of 2008. They played KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Xmas Night One and as usual, they were amazing. I have more videos that I’m editing for you guys from STP, The Offspring and most of the other bands from the show. For now, enjoy these awesome Rise Against videos from the show:
