Animal Collective played the Grand Ballroom NY last night 1/20 (Review+Videos)

Animal Collective have been playing a few club/small venue shows in support of their new album, “Merriweather Post Pavilion”, before they head over to Europe. Last night they played a sold out show at the Grand Ballroom at the Manhattan Center (wtf happened to Hammerstein Ballroom?) in New York. Animal Collective have their new album, “Merriweather Post Pavilion”, on January 20th. Chances are, you’ve already heard it and Geologist aka Brian Weitz isn’t happy about it. In fact, he’s disgusted with the fact that these days most people, even himself, will go to myspace to listen to a band’s songs instead of buying the record.
