Arctic Monkeys played the first of two Southern California sold out shows last night at the Fox Theater in Pomona, CA last night. Touring in support of their soon to be released album Suck It and See, the British indie rock band has grown musically in so many different ways that you might not recognize them as the same band who wrote the hit single “I Bet You Look Good on the Dance Floor” nearly five years ago. Our photographer Marcello Ambriz was there last night to get some cool shots of Alex Turner and the band. Check them out inside and head over to arcticmonkeys.com for more tour dates.
If you happen to be an insomniac like us, you probably caught this already. If you slept (you lucky bastards), here’s the full 2011 Lollapalooza lineup. As always, lineup is subject to change because of denied visas, band breakups, etc. You can pick up your tickets at www.lollapalooza.com. Will it sell out? We don’t think so but who thought Coachella would sell out in one weekend?
Check out the lineup inside.

Arctic Monkeys performed “My Propellor” off of their new album Humbug last night on Last Call with Carson Daly. The track’s not bad but I’m not sure how I feel about the rest of the album. I want to like it because it was produced by Josh Homme of QOTSA/EODM/TCV (geez thats a lot) but I’m still unsure about it. Anyways, check out the video of “My Propellor” below and share your thoughts:
The Arctic Monkeys performed “Cornerstone” on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on 9/23. Check it out inside.
