Philadelphia indie rock trio GOOD OLD WAR announces new US tour dates, beginning May 1st at SUNY Oneonta in New York where they will support fun. with Person L opening shows. The band will appear at the Bamboozle festival in East Rutherford, NJ on May 2nd, before kicking off a several-week tour on May 20th in Philadelphia, PA with Yukon Blonde and Audra Mae. Full tour dates below.

GOOD OLD WAR is gearing up for the release of their self-titled album, which arrives June 1st on Sargent House. They recently played several shows at the SXSW Music Conference in Austin, TX and completed a short run of dates with Circa Survive.

GOOD OLD WAR’s sophomore release is the result of several winter months spent holed up in a remote house in the Pocono Mountains, where band mates Keith Goodwin, Dan Schwartz and Tim Arnold crafted this earnest, original collection of songs in near-isolation. The album explores weightier topics such as love, loss and addiction, and the band experimented with new instruments, techniques and conventions to push the boundaries of their familiar indie rock/folk territory.

Since their conception two years ago, GOOD OLD WAR has shared the stage with The Gaslight Anthem, Heartless Bastards, Anthony Green, RX Bandits and The Honorary Title. Their single “Coney Island” enjoyed Triple-A airplay and the video was in heavy rotation on MTVu.

Taking Back Sunday has released Live From Bamboozle ’09, available exclusively on iTunes. The Live From Bamboozle’09 album captures the band playing to a crowd of over 30K fans at the 2009 Bamboozle Festival, which took place in Rutherford New Jersey on May 3rd. This is the first time songs from all four of the band’s albums are together on one release.

The New York quintet is renowned for their electric live performances. The Kansas City Star praised the band’s charisma, continuing “a rapt audience ate it up like kettle corn on a hot day,” while the Cleveland Star declared “Anyone who’s ever liked Taking Back Sunday should see the band live, just to be amazed by (front man Adam) Lazzara’s stage presence.”

Fresh from a hugely successful run with Blink-182 this summer, Taking Back Sunday will be supporting Live From Bamboozle’09 with a US co-headlining tour with The All-American Rejects. The string of dates kicks off November 3rd in East Lansing and runs through December 6th in Miami, FL.

Taking Back Sunday’s fourth studio album New Again was the third consecutive Taking Back Sunday album to debut in the top 10 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart. Warner Bros Records released the album on June 2nd and the band celebrated with a performance of their Top 10 Modern Rock hit “Sink Into Me” on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Produced by David Kahne, New Again has earned effusive critical praise. Rolling Stone declared the track “Sink Into Me”, “the first song by an emo-pop band that the Foo Fighters wish they’d written: Catchy, lusty and sleekly propulsive.” The band premiered their new single “Where My Mouth Is” on MTV’s It’s On With Alexa Chung in August. The song goes to radio this month.

In what first started out as a band “chatroom” on No Doubt’s website the other day, it appears as though the band is ready to play together again. Gwen Stefani who’s been busying being a mother and pop star has apparently decided to help out her friends again. The other three guys in the band will be very grateful this Thanksgiving. It’s also been confirmed that No Doubt will be headlining the 2nd night of the Bamboozle Festival 2009 on May 3rd, 2009. Fall Out Boy will be headlining the 1st night, May 2nd. This is good news for all you teenie kids out there; you can go to this show with your older brother or sister! yay for family unity.
