The Miami Dolphins announced today that legendary rock icon BRET MICHAELS, will be the headline act at the Land Shark Tailgate Stage on the AT&T Grand Plaza at Sun Life Stadium on Monday, October 4th, prior to the Dolphins-Patriots game. Opening for Michaels will be the rock & roll quartet from Boston, MA. TAB the BAND, who will perform live on-stage starting at 7:30 p.m.
Following his triumph on the latest season of Donald Trump’s reality show, Celebrity Apprentice, and after three seasons of his own VH-1 reality series, Rock of Love, Bret Michaels will take to the stage for an exclusive South Florida appearance to perform a medley of acoustic tracks, including the popular Poison classics “Something To Believe In” and “Every Rose Has It’s Thorn.” Bret Michaels’ fourth solo album “Custom Built,” was released during his recent U.S. tour with his group, The Bret Michaels Band, and features the duet with Miley Cyrus, “Nothing To Lose,” a cover of the rock group Sublime’s “What I Got,” and a version of Poison’s biggest hit “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.” Micheals is currently filming his new docu-series “Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It,” premiering October 18th.
“Performing in front of such a passionate group of rivals fans will be an extra special experience for me,” said Bret Michaels. “After being such a long-time Pittsburgh Steelers fan, football has always been in my blood. I look forward to being part of South Florida’s biggest party!”
Grammy Award-winning singer, Kelly Rowland, will perform a number of popular tracks for the half time show from the stadium’s new nightclub venue, LIV, including “When Love Takes Over,” “Independent Woman” and “Survivor.” Kelly will be performing to commemorate NFL Breast Cancer Awareness Weekend and part of her show will include an appearance by breast cancer survivors from the Susan G Komen For The Cure foundation, who will be brought out on to the field for recognition by Kelly and those in attendance at the stadium.
NFL Breast Cancer Awareness PSAs by Kelly Rowland will also run in the stadium throughout the game.
“I am honored to perform at the Monday Night Football game between the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots,” said Kelly Rowland. “Breast cancer awareness is something particularly important to me, and I am thrilled to be working with survivors from the Susan G. Komen For The Cure foundation. I believe everyone should appreciate what these women have overcome in their lives to be with us today.”
After an exciting five weeks on tour, sharing the stage with industry giants Stone Temple Pilots and Slash, in support of their new album ZOO NOISES, TAB the Band will be the opening act on the Land Shark Tailgate Stage and perform a number of tracks from the album, including the percussive “She Said No (I Love You)” and the breakneck hooks of “Bought and Sold.”
“After being on the road for weeks, playing different venues all around the country, we’re looking forward to bringing our talents to Miami, much like LeBron James, except with less height.” says TAB front man Adrian Perry. “Being a part of this event will be an incredible experience. We’re huge football fans, and it’s pretty special to contribute to the American spectacle that is Monday Night Football.”

Trump, Owner of the Miss Universe Organization, announced today that superstar musician Bret Michaels and NBC’s “Today” show co-host and correspondent Natalie Morales will host the “2010 Miss Universe Pageant” live from Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on August 23 (9-11 p.m. ET) on NBC. Orianthi, John Legend & The Roots will perform live during the competition.
International superstar Bret Michaels is an award-winning, multi platinum singer with over 70 million albums sold worldwide. Michaels is also a songwriter, producer, director and actor who was recently named season three winner of NBC’s “The Celebrity Apprentice.” Michaels first gained fame in the 1980s, and has produced chart-topping albums and singles ever since.
Natalie Morales joined the cast of the “Today” show in February 2006 as co-host and correspondent and she recently hosted the “2010 Miss USA Pageant.” Hispanic magazine named Morales one of the “Top Hispanics to Watch” in 2005 and one of the “Top Trendsetters” in 2003.
Orianthi, an Australian singer-songwriter and guitarist, was first known for being Michael Jackson’s lead guitarist during his comeback concert series, “This Is It.” She will perform her hit song “According to You” during the swimsuit competition. Orianthi’s debut album “Believe” was released worldwide at the end of last year.
New musical collaboration John Legend & The Roots (“Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”) will set the tone for the evening gown portion of the telecast. Legend is the recipient of six Grammy Awards and The Roots are renowned for their soulful, eclectic approach to hip-hop, which includes live instrumentals. John Legend & The Roots will release their forthcoming album, “WAKEUP!” September 21.

Miss Universe 2009, Stefania Fernandez, will crown her successor at the conclusion of the live broadcast. During her reign, Fernandez has traveled the globe as an advocate for HIV/AIDS education and awareness. Miss Universe 2010 will continue this work throughout her reign.

After releasing his new single “Nothing To Lose” ahead of schedule, thanks to a flood of attention surrounding the track, Bret Michaels headed to late night show Lopez Tonight for the first live performance of the ballad. Michaels stripped down the performance sitting under the stage lights just himself and an acoustic guitar, as the song was originally written. Witnessing the audience’s reaction to Michaels’ heartfelt performance George Lopez closed with, “That is how real rockstars do it!”

Iconic rocker Bret Michaels, lead vocalist of Poison, reality TV star, actor, and solo musician, has just released the single “Nothing To Lose.” On the track Michaels taps into his melodic prowess and knack for composing epic ballads and delivers a song that will easily find a home amongst rock, pop and country music fans. Knowing that “Nothing To Lose” had potential to cross genres Michaels recorded it a number of ways; solo, acoustic, and as a duet with Disney star Miley Cyrus.
The concept of pairing the two household names may seem out of left field but the two come together beautifully on the track. “Bret and I had a great time in the studio together just hanging out and making music,” Miley was quoted saying. “He’s so passionate about music and it shows. I think it’s such a rad collaboration because it shows that two artists that seem so different on the outside can come together and organically create something that we are both proud of.”
With the Internet buzz around the track, Michaels sat down with US Magazine to set the record straight, for anyone who was questioning the lyrical content of the song and Miley’s participation on it, “I never sat down and said, ‘Look at the content. Look at the lyrical content… There is nothing I have to be defensive about,” he said, “I just thought it was a beautiful song.”
