In an episode of the Late Show with David Letterman which featured Slash jamming with the Late Show Band (there were no full songs that aired) and Kid Cudi performing his new single “Erase Me”, the most interesting performance may have come from Will Ferrell covering Celine Dion’s “Power of Love”. Check it out below

Celine Dion’s music is so bad that the Governor of North Carolina Bev Perdue (no relation to the awesome chicken found in grocery stores) issued a state of emergency yesterday to prevent anyone from going to Dion’s concert. Ok well, I’m being told the state of emergency is due to extreme weather conditions that made it dangerous to be outdoors and driving. Maybe we can blame the crazy weather due to Dion’s horrible vocals. The show has been rescheduled for tonight. The good news is if you were being dragged to the show by your wife, girlfriend, or whoever, you can obtain a refund from the point of purchase.

According to “music experts”, Celine Dion’s cover of AC/DC’s “You Shook Me All Night Long” was voted worst cover song of all time while Jimi Hendrix’s cover of Bob Dylan’s “All Along The Watchtower” was voted the best. How Celine beat Gene Simmons cover of Prodigy’s “Firestarter” or any song that Bill Shatner has done puzzles me. It must be those shiny pants. They’re awesome. I’m going to buy some for all my friends. Then we can go clubbing. The New Zealand Herald has the rest of the list of the worst and best cover songs with video evidence.
