Photo Finish Records hard rock band New Medicine announced today a four-week tour supporting Avenged Sevenfold, Stone Sour, and Hollywood Undead in 2011. The tour marks New Medicine’s second outing with Avenged Sevenfold and Stone Sour; the bands first shared the road this summer on the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival.

Kicking off on January 20, 2011, at the Sovereign Center in Reading, PA, the 4-band bill will wind its way across the U.S. through February 13 at the Knight Arena in Eugene, OR. To finish out 2010, New Medicine will wrap up dates with Pop Evil this week, and then will support D.R.U.G.S. and Eyes Set To Kill for a limited run beginning next week and running through December 19. On December 29, December 31, and January 1, New Medicine will celebrate the New Year with very special shows supporting Halestorm (see full itinerary below).

Produced by S*A*M & Sluggo (Coheed & Cambria, Gym Class Heroes, Katy Perry), “Laid,” the first single from “RACE YOU TO THE BOTTOM, has been added in several major markets, including Detroit, Chicago, and the band’s hometown of Minneapolis.

“RACE YOU TO THE BOTTOM” debuted at #2 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart earlier this fall. The band collaborated with several notable producers on the album in addition to the aforementioned S*A*M & Sluggo, including Steve Hodge (Michael Jackson, Sting, Psychedelic Furs); and The Blasting Room, the production team of Bill Stevenson (Rise Against) and Jason Livermore (Puddle of Mudd). The resulting 14 songs showcase a hard sound with a positive slant.

New Medicine is Jake Scherer, Dan Garland, Matthew Brady, and Ryan Guanzon. For up-to-the-minute news and information, please visit www.newmedicinerock.com, www.myspace.com/newmedicine, and http://twitter.com/newmedicine.

Iwrestledabearonce just wrapped a four-week run on the Vans Warped Tour where they received critical accolades for their one-of-a-kind, fearless live shows. Jonathan Tully of the Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel praised, “Iwrestledabearonce’s Krysta Cameron has a roar that any metal band would be proud of…” (July 25, 2010). Elsewhere, TheSilverTongueOnline.com said IWABO are “continuing to redefine what avant-garde means,” adding, “Vocalist Krysta Cameron wailed, shrieked, growled, chirped, and squealed along in tandem with the rest of the band…Playing fan favorites, including ‘Tastes Like Kevin Bacon’ and ‘Alaskan Flounder Basket,’ Iwrestledabearonce put on a great show” (August 2, 2010).

About The Bands

Iwrestledabearonce
Known for their relentless touring and one-of-a-kind, fearless live shows, Iwrestledabearonce–vocalist Krysta Cameron, guitarists Steven Bradley and John Ganey, bassist Mike “Rickshaw” Martin and drummer Mikey Montgomery–are touring in support of their recently released It’s All Happening (Century Media Records) three disc deluxe reissue CD, which includes the It’s All Remixed bonus CD and DVD, featuring a variety of remixes and exclusive video. According to Rick Florino of ArtistDirect.com, “…the Louisiana electro-tech-grind-jazz-techno-metal outfit have a sound that’s so distinctly deadly it’s earth-shattering. There’s no genre safe from Iwrestledabearonce’s unbreakable sonic grapple…” (July 21, 2010).

Eyes Set To Kill
Phoenix based Eyes Set To Kill has quickly become one of the most talked about groups in the scene. With fan and critical acclaim at peak levels, the band has been featured as one of Alternative Press Magazine’s “100 Bands You Need To Know,” are currently featured on the cover of Outburn Magazine, and were nominated for a Revolver Golden Gods award alongside Ozzy, Alice In Chains and Avenged Sevenfold. The band just completed a stint on this summer’s Vans Warped Tour where they headlined the Ernie Ball stage in support of their new album Broken Frames, which was produced by Andrew Wade (A Day To Remember).

Chelsea Grin
Utah’s paramount metalcore/deathcore band was the first band signed to the newly formed Artery Recordings, a joint venture imprint label of Razor & Tie and The Artery Foundation. With three guitarists, double bass drumming, low bass, and unparalleled vocals, Chelsea Grin was the ideal band to spearhead Artery Recordings. Desolation Of Eden is Chelsea Grin’s first full-length album and was released on February 16, reaching #21 on the Billboard “Heatseekers” chart less than a month after its release.

The Chariot
The Chariot continues to be a driving force in hardcore and punk music after seven years and counting in the underground scene. In May 2009 they released their latest full-length, Wars and Rumors of Wars, of which Alternative Press said, “The only rumor that should be spread about this album is that it’s The Chariot’s best yet.” Hailed by both fans and peers alike for their brutal, thrashing, awe-filled live performances, The Chariot’s shows are not to be missed.

Vanna
New England post-hardcore group Vanna have spent the last several years on a personal journey, and it’s the experience of living on the road that has helped them to discover who they truly are. After years of relentless touring and musical growth, the band has found balance with a solid lineup and several releases under their belt. Their journey continues this fall with the release of their much anticipated Honest Hearts EP.

On June 8th Eyes Set To Kill released their highly anticipated album, Broken Frames through BreakSilence Records which you can purchase from iTunes or Amazon. The band is currently premiering the new video for the title track on MTV. Check it out here.

AOL Radio is also giving away an MP3 of “Broken Frames,” download it for free here.

Recorded at Wade Studios in Ocala, FL with producer Andrew Wade (A Day To Remember), the album takes the sparkling melodic prowess that Eyes Set To Kill has become known for, and fuses it with a new found sense of aggression to create the heaviest album of the band’s career.

“Andrew Wade is really the first producer that ever challenged us as a band and took us out of our comfort zone. He made us try things that we probably wouldn’t have done in the past,” Alexia said. “Andrew had me try a lot of different things and he was the one that suggested I try singing an octave higher for this record, which really helped me try and find my voice as a vocalist.”

“On our last record we were concentrating so hard on writing solid songs that we forgot to visualize how they would work in a live setting,” adds guitarist Greg Kerwin. “With this record we wanted to make sure that the material would make our fans go crazy when they see us live, but still be fun for us to play live.”

Eyes Set To Kill will be playing on the Warped Tour this entire summer. Make sure to check them out on the Ernie Ball Stage each day. For a full list of tour dates go to the Warped Tour website.
