Last night, ABC aired the American Music Awards live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. The best part of the show might be that there were performances shown than awards presented. If you don’t like pop music, you probably hated the show and didn’t watch. Regardless, check out videos of every performance below.

Apocalyptica’s new album, 7th Symphony will be released August 24th through Jive Records. The first single off the album is the song “End of Me” which features lead vocals from Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale. The brand new video for the track is being premiered on Vevo.com, view it here.
You can pre-order your copy of 7th Symphony at Amazon now as well.
7th Symphony was produced by Joe Barresi (Coheed and Cambria, Queens of the Stone Age, Bad Religion), and is scheduled for release August 24. The album will feature eight instrumentals plus four tracks with guest vocals including the first single “End Of Me” featuring lead vocals by Bush’s Gavin Rossdale. In addition, producer Howard Benson (Three Days Grace, Creed, My Chemical Romance) returns for production duties on two tracks on the forthcoming album.
The conservatory-trained musicians of Apocalyptica (three of whom are graduates of the prestigious Sibelius Academy in Helsinki) started playing Metallica covers in 1993 and in 1996 they released their critically acclaimed debut Apocalyptica Plays Metallica by Four Cellos. But it was 2007′s Worlds Collide that broke the band into an international phenomenon. The disc featured numerous guest stars. Slipknot’s Corey Taylor appeared on “I’m Not Jesus,” Lacuna Coil’s Cristina Scabbia sang on “S.O.S. (Anything But Love),” Rammstein vocalist Till Lindemann performed on a cover of David Bowie and Brian Eno’s “Helden” and Three Days Grace Singer Adam Gontier sang his heart out on “I Don’t Care.” “I Don’t Care” blasted Apocalyptica through the stratosphere, and peaked at number one on the Billboard rock chart. Apocalyptica promoted Worlds Collide with a world tour that included numerous stops in North America.

Millions of Bush fans and die-hard loyalists across North America and around the world are rejoicing over the news, as announced by Gavin Rossdale during Stryker’s show on KROQ, Los Angeles, that Bush is returning to the front line in 2010.
Bush will perform their first live show in eight years as part of the Epicenter weekend in Fontana, September 25-26th, joining Eminem and KISS at the Golden State’s inland empire venue. (Stay tuned for ticket sales info and future tour plans for Bush, TBA.)
Also in the fall, the first new studio album in nine years from Bush will be released on Interscope titled, EVERYTHING ALWAYS NOW. The new album was produced by Bob Rock, who also produced Gavin’s 2008 solo debut, Wanderlust which spawned the crossover hit single, “Love Remains the Same” (and whose credits include seminal work with Metallica, Mötley Crüe, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, and more).
It all came full circle for Bush when Gavin previewed “Afterlife,” the first single pick from EVERYTHING ALWAYS NOW, during the KROQ interview. KROQ launched Bush’s career on the Rock charts in late-1994, with their debut hit single, “Everything Zen,” from their 6-times RIAA platinum debut album Sixteen Stone. It was the maiden voyage of the British band that emerged two years earlier from Shepherd’s Bush and went on to more than 16-times platinum cumulative album sales in the U.S. and Canada alone: Razorblade Suitcase (1996), Deconstructed (1997), The Science of Things (1999), and Golden State (2001).
Over the same period, Bush compiled an amazing string of 14 consecutive Top 40 hit singles on the Billboard Modern Rock and Mainstream Rock charts, including ten that hit the Top 5. Four of these became #1 hits that forever define the decade of the ’90s: “Comedown” (1995), “Glycerine” (1995), “Swallowed” (1996), and “The Chemicals Between Us” (1999).
Gavin Rossdale, formerly the lead singer of Bush, performed “This Is Happiness” (watching the video, however, is not) on the Tonight Show with Conan O Brien. Check it out below
