Glasvegas return in 2011 with the eagerly anticipated follow up to their critically acclaimed eponymous debut album. ‘EUPHORIC /// HEARTBREAK \\\’ will be released on April 4th on Columbia Records in the UK, followed by a U.S. release later this spring.

The album contains eleven tracks and was written, demoed and tracked in Santa Monica, then recorded in London with producer Flood. The album sees the band recapture their atmospheric anthemic sound whilst moving in new directions both musically and lyrically. In a recent feature, NME raved of the band’s latest effort as “…a record that rings out with hope, fight, and redemption.”

The band, James Allan (vocals), Rab Allan (guitar), Paul Donoghue (bass) and new drummer Jonna Lofgren are currently on a short Scottish tour which takes them to the likes of Orkney, Wick, Dunoon, Troon and Oban. More dates will be announced soon for later this Spring.

Tracklisting for the album is as follows:
Pain Pain, Never Again
The World Is Yours
You
Shine Like Stars
Whatever Hurts You Through The Night
Stronger Than Dirt (homosexuality pt.2)
Dream Dream Dreaming
I Feel Wrong (homosexuality pt.1)

Last night at the Mercury Prize in London, it was reported by his bandmates that they had not heard from Glasvegas frontman James Allan in nearly a week. Though there was concern over his safety and health, it’s now being reported by the Guardian that Allan has been in touch with his band and that they’ll be all set for their support spot on the Kings of Leon’s upcoming US tour starting this Friday in Boston. Good to know that he’s doing alright and excellent job of the Guardian for staying on top of this story.

I’m sure that everyone’s happy to have a post with a picture again. I’ll try to avoid going too long without doing that, sorry. Anyways, Glasvegas were in LA last week playing the Troubadour and stopped by to play the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. After a truly AWESOME intro by William Shatner, the band played “Geraldine” and it was a really good performance. Check it out below:

Glasvegas is one of the hottest bands right now out of Scotland and dominating the indie scene. They were on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson last night (video will be up soon). They played the Troubadour the other night in Los Angeles and here’s a review from Web In Front and some videos from the show:
