Green Day will once again headline THE VOODOO MUSIC AND ARTS EXPERIENCE PRESENTED BY STEPHEN REHAGE. The Grammy Award-winning trio last performed at VOODOO in 2004; their most recent appearance in New Orleans was at the historic re-opening of the Louisiana Superdome in September 2006. Green Day is currently in the studio recording three albums – a trilogy entitled ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tré! – that will be released by Reprise Records on Tuesday, September 25th 2012; Tuesday, November 13th 2012 and Tuesday, January 15th 2013 respectively. Green Day have just posted a brief video on their website of the band’s 1st day in the studio working on the follow-up to 21st Century Breakdown. The most interesting part of the video is that Rob Cavallo seems to appear in it. In case you don’t know, Cavallo produced the band’s albums Dookie, Insomniac, Nimrod, Warning, Shenanigans, Cigarettes and Valentines, and American Idiot.
