Another Planet Entertainment, Superfly Productions and Starr Hill Presents are excited to announce the lineup for the Outside Lands Night Shows. For fans that haven’t had their fill of music after an incredible day in Golden Gate Park, the festival has taken over four San Francisco clubs – The Independent, Mezzanine, Mighty and The Rickshaw Stop. These clubs will host rare, intimate performances by the following artists: Levon Helm Band Ramble, Jimmy Cliff, Hercules and Love Affair, Tokyo Police Club, Freelance Whales and Pretty Lights. Also, the California Academy of Sciences’ weekly event “NightLife” will be hosting a special Outside Lands event in partnership with the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department on Thursday August 12. NightLife is an event where visitors can enjoy music, science, entertainment and cocktails, while experiencing the California Academy of Sciences’ world-class exhibits. The Outside Lands NightLife event will celebrate the festival and Golden Gate Park.Except for the kickoff event at the California Academy of Sciences on Thursday, only Outside Lands’ ticket purchasers will have the opportunity to see these night show performances. The third annual Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival will take place in San Francisco’s historic Golden Gate Park August 14 – 15, 2010. In its two years, the festival has set the standard for live music in Northern California. The 2010 lineup includes among many others, Kings of Leon, Furthur Featuring Phil Lesh and Bob Weir, The Strokes, My Morning Jacket, Phoenix, Social Distortion, Levon Helm and Al Green, will perform alongside the best emerging artists in the world, including Gogol Bordello, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Janelle Monáe, Tokyo Police Club, The Temper Trap, Pretty Lights, Dawes and more.

Besides the great music, the 2010 event promises to put even greater emphasis on what truly sets it apart from every other festival in the country – the celebration of the deep traditions of the Northern California culinary experience. At no other festival can one dine on the delicacies of the city’s most famous top-tiered restaurants while sampling the best in California wine.

The lineup for Coachella was announced today and it’s.. ehhh. The three main headliners are Paul McCartney, The Killers and The Cure. Throw in Morrissey, Franz Ferdinand, Amy Winehouse, TV On The Radio and Lupe Fiasco and you have a pretty eclective lineup for the weekend.
