To herald the release of their new EP, We Have Remixes, on Sept 7th, Hot Chip will be bringing their explosive live show back to North America in October supporting LCD Soundsystem. The band will also go interactive via MXP4-powered release allowing fans to play with remixes of their top 20 Billboard dance hit “I Feel Better.”
We Have Remixes features alternative versions of tracks by inspirational producers. From Todd Edwards’ space age garage retake on “Hand Me Down Your Love” to Osborne’s lounge house version of “Take It In”; Caribou’s electro-acid fried reconstruction of “Brothers” to Hot City’s deranged rave revival attack on “We Have Love”, We Have Remixes manages to pull together a selection of the very best dancefloor manipulators in the world right now.
We Have Remixes tracklisting:
01. Hand Me Down Your Love (Todd Edwards Micro Chip Remix) 6.46
02. We Have Love (Hot City Remix) 4.59
03. Brothers (Caribou Remix) 5.09
04. Take It In (Osborne Remix) 7.16
Of the remixers, Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard says, “These are some of our favourite producers, people that we have been following for years and have been friends with for years as well in some cases.”
Hot Chip is also proud to announce the launch of an MXP4-powered interactive version of the band’s latest single, “I Feel Better”. The second release from Hot Chip’s latest album One Life Stand, “I Feel Better” is now available online as an MXP4-powered application at www.facebook.com/hotchip.
The interactive release gives fans a video game-like experience, enabling them to play with remixes of “I Feel Better” by producers including Richard X and Den Haan. The application is fully integrated into Hot Chip’s Facebook page, creating strong fan engagement by having them interact with “I Feel Better” right on the Facebook page.
The application also features multi-media content, including the notorious “I Feel Better” video directed by comedian Peter Serafinowicz, and fans using the interactive application are also able to easily share it through blogs, Twitter, Facebook and other popular viral and social media platforms.

Here’s what some critics have said of their sold-out live shows this past April:
“…and made their dance-pop feel spontaneous and organic and warm thanks to touches like the steel drums on ‘One Night Stand.’” – SPIN.com
“With wobbly electronic rhythms and a command of the drippy, semi-ironic disco ballad, Hot Chip plays wistful but still snarky dance music.” – New York Times

Holy Ghost! is kicking off their North American tour with Chromeo today, so in celebration, we wanted to share the official video for “I Know, I Hear” from their recently released EP, Static on the Wire. The guys shot the awesomely funky black & white, surveillance-style video at their rehearsal space in Brooklyn – keep your eyes peeled for a cameo from their good friend Caroline Polachek, who collaborates vocally on this amazing tune!
It’s been a whirlwind few months for Holy Ghost! – besides dropping their critically-acclaimed, can’t-get-those-songs-out-of-my-head debut EP on May 18th via DFA Records, the band headed out on the road supporting LCD Soundsystem on their national tour, then made their way overseas for gigs in the UK and Europe, hitting several festivals along the way.

While most folks were home watching Saturday Night Live last weekend, Holy Ghost! played a secret show to a frenzied crowd at Damon Dash’s Under 100, which included a guest performance by Caroline Polachek, who lends her vocals on Static on the Wire’s “I Know, I Hear.” Check out pics and footage at ‘SUP MAG and the FADER!

Following the release of the band’s masterful fourth long player One Life Stand, Hot Chip are delighted to announce details of their new single “I Feel Better”, to be released digitally April 20th on Astralwerks.
Indeed, Hot Chip is back with an epic hit of euphoric hands-in-the-air bliss. A House stomp that summons up the spirit of Black Box, S’Express and InnerCity’s ‘Goodlife’ and takes inspiration from the burgeoning UK Funky scene. From computer looped strings and Joe Goddard’s Auto-Tuned vocals, the track simmers away before the chorus lifts-off with enough power to blow a fuse in your speakers! It’s one of the great pop choruses of our time; clunky Chicago house synths colliding with an uplifting vocal sung by Alexis Taylor as if he’s been waiting all his life to sing it. ‘I Feel Better” is pulsing modern-day disco: an electronic punch that refuses to sacrifice any emotional complexity. In short, it’s a track that belongs in nodding heads, dancing feet and the annals of great contemporary pop music.
‘I Feel Better’ has had a phenomenal reaction on the band’s recently completed UK tour and special NY dates with the song rivaling ‘Over and Over’ and ‘Ready For The Floor’ in terms of audience reaction every night, despite having only appeared as an album track so far. Furthermore, this song has taken on a life of its own online becoming one of the most talked about tracks among blogs and fans alike.
As always, Hot Chip have enlisted a rich and varied selection of remixers, so keep your ears to the ground for storming remixes from the legendary Richard X, Den Haan and Funky re-edit from London’s Ill Blu.
As previously announced Hot Chip will be bringing their explosive live show back to North America in April. The band will be playing tracks from new album as well as old favorites. The xx will be the band’s special guests on this tour.
