KCRW Announces “Are Friends Eclectic?” Concerts with Jimmy Cliff and Iron & Wine

LA public radio station KCRW (89.9FM and KCRW.com) will celebrate the holiday season by bringing together some of our favorite artists for two nights of music at the intimate Orpheum Theatre, a newly-restored Downtown landmark celebrating it’s 85th anniversary this year.

The “Are Friends Eclectic?” concerts will take place on Friday, December 2 and Saturday, December 3 with different lineups each night and special guests. Proceeds will go towards supporting the station’s programming.

Iron & Wine is in the middle of a nationwide tour in support of the new album Kiss Each Other Clean released a few months ago on Warner Bros. Records. Tuesday night, the tour (featuring The Low Anthem as direct support) came into Boston. Our photographer Jennifer Murtha (of FromThePhotoPit.com) was at the House of Blues and got some great shots. New Iron & Wine Album Kiss Each Other Clean Due Out January 25

Iron & Wine will release Kiss Each Other Clean on January 25th, 2011. The first new music in more than three years from the band led by Sam Beam will be made available through Warner Bros. Records in North America and 4AD in Europe, Japan, and Australia.
