The claymation video for Killswitch Engage’s latest song off their self-titled album finds the band in an alien encounter! Directed by Jim Starace, the video for “Save Me” is guitarist Adam D.’s “favorite video shoot EVER!” The guitarist tells craveonline.com, “It took like 1/2 an hour, and we were turned into clay. And who doesn’t like claymation and space aliens? They didn’t like my suggestion of turning me into a blood-thirsty pterodactyl with laser eyes at the end of the vid, but it’s cool. Thanks to all who worked wicked hard on this video…it looks sweet.” Drummer Justin Foley explains, “If you are going to follow in anybody’s footsteps, it may as well be Green Jello, right? With the “Save Me” video, we have finally achieved a band goal that we’ve been striving for a long, long time; shooting a video that we do not appear in. We also get to go into outer space.”

More than 38 bands will once again come together to celebrate rock at the fourth annual ROCK ON THE RANGE, set for May 22 and 23 at Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. The line-up includes first-timer “Rangers” Rob Zombie, Godsmack (in their first announced show of 2010), the return of Limp Bizkit and the festival solo debut of Slash. The two-day line-up for America’s premiere destination rock festival includes some of the most rocking artists in music today. In addition, marking another first for ROCK ON THE RANGE, Mistress Juliya of Fuse TV has signed on as the hostess and Mistress of Ceremonies for the event. (See below for the full line-up.)

Sully Erna from Godsmack says: “Fasten your seatbelts baby, here comes Godsmack! I can’t WAIT to get to Columbus for what will be the best Rock On The Range yet! Godsmack is gonna kick some major *@%*!”

Del Williams, co-executive producer of the event for Right Arm Entertainment, explains: “We designed ROTR 2010 to be the biggest weekend of ROCK at an incredibly low ticket price for the fans affectionately referred to as the ‘Rangers.’ This year’s line-up represents the most compelling mix of bands that we have ever had. Godsmack is one of the most prolific Active Rock bands of all time, and the intrepid Rob Zombie is an unrivaled performer. We are particularly excited about the return of Limp Bizkit, who have been tearing it up at European festivals. It is time for them to come back to America and remind people why they were at one time one of the biggest bands in the world.”

“In four short years, this festival has become like no other in the United States,” added Joe Litvag, co-executive producer of the festival for AEG Live. “We’ve been fortunate enough to create something that caters to a very specific music lover, and the fans have become truly rabid for it. ROCK ON THE RANGE has become the summer destination for an entire nation of rock fans…It’s amazing really.”

Two-day weekend festival passes start at just $99.50. A special pre-sale for ROCK ON THE RANGE fans will start February 16 and for the first time, fans can buy their tickets this year via a layaway plan.

“The vision of Rock On The Range has always been to provide a premiere rock festival for a very affordable price,” said Mark McCullers, President and General Manager of the Columbus Crew. “Each year we look for new ways to enhance the fans’ experience. Two specific improvements for 2010 are an increased viewing area for our fans at the Jägermeister stage and a layaway plan as an additional payment option for our Rock On The Range fans.”

Details of the layaway plan as well as VIP Packages that include festival tickets, hotel accommodations and festival merchandise can be found at www.rockontherange.com. All tickets go on sale February 20 at 10:00 AM (ET) via www.rockontherange.com and www.ticketmaster.com, all local Ticketmaster outlets and at the Crew Stadium box office.

IN FLAMES is one of the most influential bands in modern metal and a band that keeps growing in popularity and size all the time. The latest album “A Sense Of Purpose” which hit the stores in April 2008, stormed the charts all over the world and keeps going strong. Featuring songs like “The Mirror’s Truth”, “Alias” and “Delight And Angers”. Once again it is time to conquer Europe with the biggest headline dates ever for the band on their home turf!

Killswitch Engage’s latest album, simply titled Killswitch Engage, debuted at #7 on the Billboard Top 200 chart earlier this summer, the same week that their previous album As Daylight Dies achieved Gold certification. Just coming off a highly successful Canadian co-headline run with In Flames, the band will be shooting a video for the song “Take Me Away” in the coming weeks.

John Reese (co-founder) states, “We have succeeded in a six year plan to establish a worldwide rock festival that has played to millions of fans and this year’s lineup is one of the strongest ever.” In Flames and Killswitch are two of my favorite bands”

Mike Kelso Director of Marketing for Rockstar Energy Drink states, “The Rockstar Taste of Chaos has been our marquee musical presentation the world over. You can expect a lot of great surprises on the tour.”

“We are really happy and looking forward to be part of this great tour. With the awesome line up this year, this tour is going to crush!

See you all on the road” – In Flames

“Greetings! Adam D from Killswitch here…just wanted to drop a line on how stoked I am to be going out on the Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour in Europe with our good buddies IN FLAMES real soon. They’re one of my favorite bands, so there’s a good chance you’ll see me lurking and power drinking in the corner of the club every night while they’re on stage. So if ya see me, do me a favor and buy me a beer. To show my gratitude, I’ll flex for you. We’ll be sure to play you guys some new songs as well…SO PLEASE COME CHECK OUT THE SHOW!!! Laters!”

ROCKSTAR Energy Drink will continue to be the title sponsor of the 2009 tour and will be sampling their products, as well as coming up with some great surprises for attendees. Ernie Ball will be a sponsor on the tour as well.

Having already spawned multiple soundtrack CD’s and a live DVD, Rockstar Taste Of Chaos, like its summer sibling the Van’s Warped Tour, it’s only getting bigger and better, offering fans the opportunity to see their favorite bands as well as take part in a number of activities including attending autograph signing sessions and a slew of interactive fan activities that will add to the experience.

Here’s what critics had to say about the Rockstar Taste Of Chaos Tour:

“Rockstar Taste of Chaos has become the must-see package tour during cold-weather months…”- Cleveland Plain Dealer

“The definitive hard music tour of the spring time is here in all of its hard-rockin’ glory…”- Skinnie Magazine

“Six hours of cutting-edge metal that is on the extreme end of the energy scale.”- Toledo Blade

“For the past 4 years, Rockstar Taste of Chaos has been delivering some of the best known acts in the rock ‘n roll world…” -Backstage Pass (FL)

“The (Rockstar) Taste of Chaos tour is a mammoth hard-rock and metal musical offering, where established and new bands throw caution to the wind, shredding vocal cords, while brave audiences risk their hearing with glee.” -The Detroit News

“Like its summer sibling Vans Warped Tour, (Rockstar) Taste of Chaos is getting bigger and louder…”- San Antonio Current

“A $30 dollar ticket bought six hours of music from nine different bands–not too shabby for metal fans.”- The Times Record (Brunswick, ME)
