Despite what some of you may say, EVERYONE loves a KISS song. One of our favorite New Jersey rock bands, The Static Jacks, recorded a cover of the legendary band’s “I Was Made For Loving You” for their fans as an early Halloween present (yes, we’re totally down with Halloween presents and we want one from you too). Check out the song below and download it for free! Stay tuned to www.thestaticjacks.com for updates on the band’s new LP due out sometime in 2013.

The members of veteran hair-metal bands KISS and Motley Crue gathered in Hollywood on Tuesday (March 20) to announce plans for a co-headlining U.S. summer tour. The 40-stop undertaking begins July 20 in Bristow, Virginia and culminates with a September 23 finale in Hartford Connecticut.

Following an introduction from comedian George Lopez, the eight band members took to a conference room stage at the Roosevelt Hotel in full show regalia and entertained the gathered press corps with promises that the outing — immodestly dubbed “The Tour” — would be the must-see show of the year.

Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee told the gathered journalists that the shows — which will mark the first time the two bands have shared the stage since 1982 — would deliver the “unbelievable.” Added KISS vocalist Paul Stanley, “We wrote the book, collectively, on fan interaction,” adding, “[We will] make sure you get what you pay for.”

Neither band has released a new studio album in a few years so it’s expected that each will offer fan-friendly hits-filled set lists for their respective 90-minute turns. It was confirmed that KISS will play last at each show.

When asked how health issues would effect his ability to undertake a grueling two-month-plus tour, Crue guitarist Mick Mars, who turns 61 years old in May and who suffers from an inflammatory form of spinal arthritis called ankylosing spondylitis, drew muffled laughter when he wryly replied, “If it hurts, I don’t care.”

Fan club pre-sales for the tour began today (March 21), while public on-sales commence on Friday (March 23).

Citi® cardmembers will also have access to presale tickets beginning Wedneday, March 21st at 2pm local time through Citi’s Private Pass® Program. For complete presale details visit www.citiprivatepass.com.

With combined album sales of almost 200 million, KISS and MÖTLEY CRÜE are more than just iconic; they remain today as the dominant powerhouses of rock music tallying 30+ chart-topping hits, countless sold out tours and awards and accolades from around the world. Known for their elaborate and spectacular stage shows, each band plans to give fans the ultimate summer concert experience with the most impressive lighting and sound production ever and their signature over-the-top pyrotechnics. This is the first time KISS and MÖTLEY CRÜE will share a stage since 1982.

KISS consists of Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer. MÖTLEY CRÜE consists of Vince Neil, Mick Mars, Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee.

These veterans of the music business are still at the height of their popularity. KISS is the juggernaut of them all, with 3,000 licensed merchandise products, including the KISS golf course in Las Vegas and a new album. KISS has broken box office records set by The Beatles and Elvis. MÖTLEY CRÜE is the first rock band in history to have just completed an epic sold-out Las Vegas residency at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The band is best known for continuing to reinvent not only their live show (with mind blowing elements such as Tommy Lee’s 360 drum roller coaster) and music (brand new song due out this spring), but remain on the cutting edge via social media interaction. MÖTLEY CRÜE’s New York Times bestselling book The Dirt is currently being adapted into a major motion picture. Last month, the band was featured in one of the highest rated Super Bowl ads of all time for the KIA Optima.

Chop Shop and Atlantic Records have announced the forthcoming release of “THE DILEMMA—ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK,” (pre-order) the companion to the upcoming Universal Pictures comedy starring Vince Vaughn and Kevin James. The collection arrives digitally January 11 and hits stores January 18. The much-anticipated film, directed by Ron Howard and produced by Brian Grazer, opens in theatres across North America on January 14.

“THE DILEMMA—ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK” features a brand new track from Brooklyn-based band The Hold Steady. Titled “Just Saying,” the song was written specifically for the comedy. The collection also includes tracks from The Black Keys, Band of Skulls, The Fratellis, Wolfmother and The Virgins. “THE DILEMMA—ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK” is produced by Chop Shop’s Alexandra Patsavas and executive produced by Brian Grazer.

Vince Vaughn and Kevin James headline an all-star comedy from director Ron Howard and producer Brian Grazer about a man who finds out that what you don’t say to a friend is just as important as what you do. Jennifer Connelly, Winona Ryder, Channing Tatum and Queen Latifah join them in The Dilemma, a story of how far you can bend a brotherly bond before it snaps.

Since college, confirmed bachelor Ronny (Vaughn) and happily married Nick (James) have been through thick and thin. Now partners in an auto design firm, the two pals are vying to land a dream project that would launch their company. With Ronny’s girlfriend, Beth (Connelly), and Nick’s wife, Geneva (Ryder), by their sides, they’re unbeatable.

But Ronny’s world is turned upside down when he inadvertently sees Geneva out with another man and makes it his mission to get answers. As the amateur investigation dissolves his world into comical mayhem, he learns that Nick has a few secrets of his own. Now, with the clock ticking and pressure mounting on the biggest presentation of their careers, Ronny must decide how and when he will reveal the truth to his best friend.

THE ENVY has just released their debut EP titled Don’t Let Go on Simmons Records/Universal Music. The five-song sampler, only available at shows on their summer tour, digitally on iTunes and the bands official website, features the band’s debut single “Don’t Let Go,” three additional songs from their forthcoming debut album and a bonus EP-only, non-album track. The band is currently offering a free download of “Don’t Let Go” on their official website and is on tour supporting legendary, musical icon KISS on “The Hottest Show on Earth” 2010 North American summer tour through September.

Currently the band is on tour through September with KISS as the final mixes are being completed on their debut full-length album by Grammy award-winning mixer David Bottrill (Peter Gabriel, Muse, Tool, AFI) and highly the sought after Randy Staub (Metallica, Nicelback, Bon Jovi).
