MUTEMATH To Open For Linkin Park and Incubus on Honda Civic Tour

Rock innovators MUTEMATH have announced that they will hit the road with Linkin Park and Incubus for this year’s annual Honda Civic Tour. The tour kicks off on August 11th in Virginia and will crisscross the U.S. before wrapping up in San Diego on September 10th.

MUTEMATH will also head to Australia for a two-week headlining run this May in support of their current album Odd Soul, which was released on October 4th on Teleprompt/Warner Bros. Records. Since Odd Soul’s release the band have rocked venues nationwide on two U.S. headlining tours, appeared on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno and Jimmy Kimmel Live! and were selected as a VH1 “You Oughta Know” artist.

The band recently released a new single from Odd Soul, “Allies,” as well as an accompanying video, which features footage from their last headlining tour, which wrapped in March. Watch it here.

Linkin Park To Release New Album “Living Things”, Announces Co-Headline Honda Civic Tour with Incubus

Through their official website, www.linkinpark.com, LINKIN PARK has announced a June 26th release date for their new album, LIVING THINGS (Machine Shop Recordings/Warner Bros.). The album is co-produced by Rick Rubin (Adele, Metallica) and Linkin Park vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Mike Shinoda, who co-produced Linkin Park’s last two albums. Rolling Stone magazine says, “The material is the band’s most powerful since its megahit 2000 debut.”

The first single from the new album, “BURN IT DOWN,” premiered today on radio, and is now available through iTunes (take a listen here). Starting later today, fans can pre-order LIVING THINGS from the band’s website, www.linkinpark.com, and will receive an immediate download of the single. All orders come with a monthly subscription to receive eight new LIVING THINGS remixes.

The band also announced that it will be co-headlining the 2012 Honda Civic Tour with Incubus, along with support from Mutemath. The tour will be kicking off August 11th in Bristow, Virginia @ Jiffy Lube Live. Tickets begin going on sale to the general public the weekend of April 27, but anyone who pre-orders the album at www.linkinpark.com will gain access beginning on April 24th to buy tickets for the tour. Fans will also be able to buy LP Underground fan club memberships at a discounted rate, and earn the right to buy tickets first, get early access to the venues, and be eligible for meet and greets with the band.

Ticket sales for members of Linkin Park’s fan club will begin April 23rd at www.linkinpark.com. Incubus fan club pre-sales will begin April 25th at www.incubushq.com. Linkin Park Raises $350,000 With Music For Relief Concert At Mayan Theater

Linkin Park To Play Music For Relief Concert To Raise Funds For Japan Tsunami Relief

From their official website www.linkinpark.com, LINKIN PARK is challenging supporters of Music For Relief (MFR) to raise money for Japan Tsunami Relief to gain access to a private concert. Click here to view a message from Linkin Park about this special event.

Every supporter who raises at least $500 will be invited with a guest, to a private Linkin Park concert in a small, intimate venue in the Los Angeles area. The location of the show will be disclosed only to those who reach their fundraising goal.

Joining forces with Linkin Park on this campaign are Japan’s B’z, the best-selling artist in the history of Japan. B’z , who recently contributed a track to MFR’s Download To Donate campaign and are involved in various relief efforts to help re-build their homeland, will also perform at the show.

Participants can begin fundraising at secretshowforjapan.com now, and must reach their fundraising goal by August 24th to gain access to the show. The most exclusive experiences are reserved for those who raise even more than $500. The top 50 fundraisers will attend a meet and greet with Linkin Park band members, and the top 10 will also receive signed instruments from the band. The top fundraiser will be invited to watch the show from the stage.

In the long-term, Save the Children will support civil society groups in the affected area focused on providing services, care, and assistance to children.

Linkin Park To Play Free Concert In Moscow June 23rd To Celebrate The Release Of Transformers: Dark Of The Moon

In celebration of Paramount Pictures’ TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON, Linkin Park will perform a special outdoor concert at Vasilyevsky Spusk of the Red Square in Moscow – with the Kremlin and St. Basil’s Basilica as the backdrop – on June 23rd at 9PM. The 3D Michael Bay film will open the Moscow International Film Festival on the same night.

Linkin Park will perform several of their hit songs including the single, “Iridescent,” which is the end title song in the upcoming third Transformers film. The movie opens worldwide beginning June 29th. Stars from the film are scheduled to attend, along with director Michael Bay.

One of the most successful collaborations between music and film, the previous Linkin Park singles to appear in the first two Transformers films, “What I’ve Done” from the first Transformers film, has sold over 4 million downloads worldwide, and “New Divide” from 2009′s Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, crossed the 3 million mark. Both songs were top selling singles for the band, and went to #1 on the modern rock radio charts (with “New Divide” spending 14 weeks there).

The special show in Moscow is produced by Live Nation and will occur during Linkin Park’s upcoming European tour, which begins June 11th in Austria with stadium, festival or arena shows in the UK, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland, France, Switzerland, Italy & Belgium.
