Neon Hitch has announced a month-long US gay club tour that will begin July 28th in San Francisco and end in Seattle on August 20th (confirmed dates are below, more to be announced.) Growing up travelling the world as a trapeze artist and street performer, Neon is a natural performer able to transform her live shows into all-out dance parties. The NY Post proclaimed that “Neon Hitch has all the elements of an A-list female pop queen” and Idolator said of her performance at their SXSW party earlier this year “London firecracker Neon Hitch…[whisked] onto the stage and [belted] out an array of her addictive electro-pop jams. It was an incredible glimpse at what the sexy singer-songwriter has to offer.”
Listen to “Bad Dog,” the first single from her forthcoming album Beg, Borrow and Steal below the tour dates.
Confirmed tour dates:
7/28 The Crib, San Francisco, CA
7/29 CLUB 11, Los Angeles, CA
8/5 Machine, Boston, MA

8/13 GBar, Tampa, FL

‘Tis the season to be giving, and our favorite gypsy chanteuse, Neon Hitch, will be doing just that. For every fan who “Likes” her Facebook page, Neon will be giving away a surprise gift, located under the “Merry Hitchmas” tab. The gifts, starting today, will be dropping every Friday for the rest of December.
Today, Neon felt particularly generous, dropping two remixes of her dubstep influenced track, “Am I Dreaming” feat. Liam Horne. The club-ready first, done by Easy Does It, can be found on Neon’s Facebook page, while the second, a darker, crunchier remix done by ROBOPOP can be found climbing the charts on Hype Machine. Both Easy Does It and ROBOPOP are part of the Grammy award-winning Pilot Creative Services.
December has been delivering lots of goodies for Neon and fans alike. A leaked track she recorded with Deadmau5, the anthemic “I Can’t Behave Myself”, has fans and critics pining for more. (Check out fan videos already being made with the track here!) Her brand-spanking new website, neonhitch.net, just launched this week, and gives us all a sneak peak into Neon’s world and everything entering it. Be sure to keep checking back in on it for more information on her upcoming album, Beg, Borrow, and Steal, out in 2011 on Warner Brothers.

Neon Hitches
the party into high gear
By Britnee Foreman
Going to CMJ music festival is essentially like recess for the music industry. It’s like a week-long Christmas party filled with booze and music. And now that I’ve had a week to recover, let me tell you about all the amazingness that I got to witness during one of the best weeks of my life.
The first night got off to a late start. The trains in NYC are quite a pain in the ass and whenever you really need to go somewhere they will run at reduced speeds because they hate you. I say this because I was on my way to see Neon Hitch (not Trees, or Indian, or any other iteration of Neon + noun). I got to the SPIN/BMI party late and only got to catch the last song of the set which was an amazing cover of “Seven Nation Army” There were African drums and a turntable along with the traditional band set up. Everyone was dancing at the Highline Ballroom. And when the song was done, the set was over. So I do what any sane person would do, go see her the next night at Music Hall of Williamsburg. There I got see a full set.
The English born songstress produces a big sound from her small frame. She is currently on tour with 3OH!3 with whom she has sang before on the Almost Alice soundtrack. Her world travels are very evident in the music that she makes. Her chirpy, seductive voice translates to her live show. She is a very good act to see live. She has an enormous presence on stage and the energy to match. The night of the music hall show, her band was dressed up like bandits and she came out in this amazingly romantic skirt that she later took off to reveal gold hot shorts as she jumped around on stage. Given the amount of covers that she has available on the internet, all the songs that she performed during her set was original songs, except for the White Stripes cover, which oddly enough isn’t available anywhere (I’ve looked). Her voice is a refreshing change to the current options and you can dance to it. Win for everybody.

British singer and songwriter Neon Hitch will join her pals in 3OH!3 for a series of dates on the electro hip-hop group’s current “Streets of Gold” Tour beginning October 23rd. Hitch first worked with the group on “Follow Me Down,” which was included on Almost Alice — a companion soundtrack to the Tim Burton film adaptation of Alice in Wonderland.
Signed to Warner Bros. Records by Senior Vice President of A&R Kara DioGuardi, Hitch is currently hard at work on her debut album with executive producer Benny Blanco (Ke$ha, Spank Rock, 3OH!3, Britney Spears). The album is shaping up to be a collection of striking songs that deploy Hitch’s soulful, jazz-inflected vocals atop an organic backdrop of eclectic pop melodies and hip-hop tinged beats.
Hitch already has several high-profile songwriting credits to her name. She co-wrote “Blah Blah Blah” on Ke$ha’s No. 1 album Animal, “Traces,” which will appear on Sky Ferreira’s upcoming debut album, as well as “Stupid Love Letter,” which is included on the Friday Nights Boys’ album Off The Deep End and the When In Rome soundtrack. Hitch has worked with Miike Snow (appearing on Blanco’s remix of “Burial”), Greg Kurstin, Sia, Mike Posner, Deadmau5, DJ Chuckie, Toby Gad, and Cathy Dennis.
