The Script are quickly becoming one of this year’s most popular bands. They opened for U2 this week at Croke Park in Dublin and for Paul McCartney in New York. They most recently played at this year’s Oxegen Festival in Ireland and we have this awesome video of them with intimate backstage footage of lead singer Danny O’Donoghue sharing the band’s experience over the past year and performance footage of the Oxegen Festival crowd of over 80,000 people singing along to the band’s new single “Break Even.” Check out the video as well as a fan shot video of “Break Even” below the tour dates:

In more festival news, according to Digital Spy, the Killers will be a main stage headliner at T in the Park 2009. Other bands confirmed to headline are Blur and Kings of Leon. All of the above bands are supposed to be playing the Oxegen Festival (no relation to the women’s tv channel, I think) as well.

Razorlight, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Katy Perry, Elbow, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Pendulum, Peter Doherty and White Lies are also on the bill. Bloc Party and the Script might also be playing.

T In The Park takes place in Balado, Scotland on July 10, 11 and 12. Tickets and all info will be available next week at http://tinthepark.com/.
