Jonathan Davis of Korn says: “We’re excited to bring Korn’s new show to North Carolina and we fully intend on blasting out the loudest set of new dope sh#t ever at the Carolina Rebellion!!!”

“It is an absolute honor to be the headliner at such an amazing festival. It’s been a minute North Carolina…It’s good to be back. We can’t wait to see the masses at the Rebellion!” comments Brent Smith of Shinedown.

“Along with AEG Live, Right Arm is beyond excited to unleash the Carolina Rebellion lineup,” says Gary Spivack, co-executive producerof the festival for Right Arm Entertainment. “Like last year, it was our goal to make sure the 2012 lineup was stacked from top to bottom. Three stages of non-stop rock ‘n roll and a Friday night party to kick it all off…The ultimate rock festival in the Carolinas. Let the Rebellion begin!”

General Admission tickets for Carolina Rebellion go on sale to the public on Friday, February 17 at 10am EST at www.carolinarebellion.com and www.ticketmaster.com. To get access to the internet pre-sale, which will be held from Wednesday, February 15 at 10am EST through Thursday, February 16 at 10pm EST, go to the festival’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/CRebellion) or www.carolinarebellion.com and sign up to receive the Rebellion newsletter. A limited number of early bird tickets will be available for only $59.50 plus fees.

This year, Carolina Rebellion–which was called “this generation’s Woodstock” by Examiner.com–will also feature an extensive selection of Camping Packages, as well as a VIP Lounge ticket option to invite the ‘Rebels’ to spend the weekend on-site in Rockingham and create an unforgettable party. The packages will be available via the internet pre-sale as well as the public on-sale. With every purchase of a Camping Package comes FREE TICKETS to the inaugural Friday Night Campground Party! Details for all Camping Packages and VIP Lounge tickets can be found at www.CarolinaRebellion.com.

Based on 2011 attendee feedback, Carolina Rebellion organizers have implemented various upgrades and vast venue improvements to provide a premier concert experience at the multi-stage rock festival. The new centrally-located site provides plenty of space to expand, including more food and beverage stands, merchandise stands, restrooms and parking, and also offers more traffic routes to and from the event.

“When our fans speak, we listen,” commented Joe Litvag, co-executive producer of the festival for AEG Live. “We personally responded to every person who sent us comments, and because of that important feedback, our motto this year is ‘Let’s double it!’ Double the number of entrance points into the festival, double the number of concession stands, double the number of merchandise stands, and double the number of locations for free water…We’re taking the steps to make Carolina Rebellion an upgraded experience for everyone.”

In addition, all ticket prices will include parking to ensure quicker access to the parking areas, and earlier entry into the parking areas and will be allowed, along with earlier door times, to better alleviate the traffic and lines. The inclusion of the new Camping Packages will encourage fans to arrive on Friday starting at 10am and stay until Noon on Sunday, thereby relieving traffic congestion on Saturday.

Further improvements to amenities include: a larger box office area for will call pickup, shade locations in public areas and the Hangover Recovery VIP Lounge area inside the festival grounds to allow those with VIP Lounge tickets to have a special place to enjoy the event.

“Our sponsors mean as much to us as our fans do,” added Litvag. “And without the support of music-centric companies like Monster Energy, who present our two main stages at Rebellion, we couldn’t put a festival of this size and scope on for the people.”

Carolina Rebellion is also proud to be sponsored by Jägermeister, Hangover Recovery, and f.y.e. – for your entertainment (which will be on site selling CDs and DVDs and will host band autograph signings throughout the festival day). Carolina Rebellion is produced by Right Arm Entertainment and AEG Live, the same team that produces the highly successful Rock On The Range in Columbus, OH. Tickets for the 2011 inaugural Carolina Rebellion sold out more than one month in advance and attendance exceeded 30,000.

Rockingham Speedway is located at 2152 N US HWY 1, Rockingham, NC, less than two hours from Charlotte, Raleigh/Durham, Columbia and Greensboro.

For the second consecutive year The ONE LOVE FOR CHI Organization along with the Slidebar of Downtown Fullerton will host a two-night benefit event coinciding with the NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) Convention Weekend in Southern California.

Since November 2008, bassist of modern rock pioneers DEFTONES, Chi Cheng, has remained hospitalized in what doctors have called a “minimally conscious” state. Since the accident, the One Love for Chi organization has banded together to help raise funds to meet the growing costs of Cheng’s medical bills. Rooted in a network of musicians all closely connected with Chi throughout his prolific career, this second annual benefit pulls together some of music’s biggest names, all to perform ‘reach-out-and-touch-em’ intimate performances, all in Cheng’s name.

In 2010, One Love for Chi held the first benefit at Slidebar during NAMM weekend and created a truly memorable event. Members of Korn, Suicide Silence, Dream Theater, Guns N’ Roses, Megadeth, Atreyu, and Cypress Hill were just some of the star-studded attendees who all participated in impromptu performances in a truly intimate venue. Part industry event, part concert, all celebration, the event proved a sweeping success and has become the catalyst for an annual event dedicated to the ongoing recovery of Chi Cheng.

Gearing up for the 2011 installment of the benefit, the bigger and better two-night engagement will feature performances from P.O.D., Dredg, Brian “HEAD’ Welch, Imani of The Pharcyde, Philm (featuring Dave Lombardo of SLAYER), The Accident Experiment, Southtown Generals, Eyes Set To Kill, Anew Revolution, and will be capped off by an all-star jam session featuring members of Anthrax, Atreyu, Papa Roach, Lit, Shinedown, and many more in attendance. The organic collaboration remains rooted in a sincere love for Chi Cheng and a genuine desire to do something to aid in his recovery.

A night of friends connected through music – everyone, both public and industry are invited to join in the festivities. To gain access into the venue to see the performances however, ONELOVEFORCHI.com is hosting an online auction via EBAY, with ALL proceeds going directly to Chi’s recovery. Packages of two (2) and four (4) tickets will be available.

P.O.D., Alien Ant Farm, and Butterscotch are among the artists joining forces for the September 18 Never Again benefit concert in Southern California remembering 17 year-old murder victim Norma Lopez. The concert — which also features performances by Adam Lasher Band, Paloma, Cruz, The Ringleader D.J. Ace and a yet-to-be-announced special guest – runs from noon until 5pm on Saturday, September 18 at Moreno Valley College, with doors opening at 11am.

Tickets will be available for a $10 donation starting on September 3, with proceeds going to the Norma Lopez Benefit Concert Fund both to assist her family with funeral expenses and to contribute to the reward to help law enforcement find and catch her killer or killers. Norma Lopez went missing on July 15, 2010 after attending summer classes at Valley View High School and walking home via a popular neighborhood shortcut. Her body was discovered in a nearby field on July 20.

Norma’s disappearance and murder hit close to home for Alien Ant Farm, who hail from nearby Riverside. “My heart goes out to Norma, her family and friends. I have a daughter and can’t even imagine how Norma’s parents feel,” says Alien Ant Farm drummer Mike Cosgrove. “We have a lot of friends that went to Valley View High School through the years and have used that same shortcut. It’s tragic and frightening.”

Headliners P.O.D. echo that sentiment: “Our hearts go out to the Norma Lopez family. We are deeply saddened and outraged by what’s happened. When we heard about the benefit, we wanted to do our part and help.”

Gary Avila, VP of Artist Development at Tao Music Group, helped put together Never Again along with Tao Creative colleagues Nick Martinez, Dean Blagg, and Richard “Rimo” Moreno. Avila explains, “When I heard that Norma Lopez was missing and then her body was found a week later, it struck a chord in me. Being a parent, I knew that I had to do something to help prevent this from happening again. I mentioned doing a concert to my colleagues at Tao Music Group, they agreed right away, and we met with the mayor of Moreno Valley to get the ball rolling. The response from everyone, from bands to companies, has been amazing and I am so blessed to be a part of this special event.”

Norma’s sister Elizabeth Lopez says, “This concert that is being held to raise awareness and also in the remembrance of my little sister Norma Lopez brings such happiness and honor. Knowing that all the people involved in this project took the time to put all this together on such short notice and yet have never met my sister shows me how much love there really is out in this world. My family and I want to thank you all.”

Tickets for the Never Again benefit concert remembering Norma Lopez will be available beginning September 3 at the following locations, with an additional 250 tickets available at the door on the day of the show:

About the artists performing at the Never Again benefit concert:

With multiple Grammy nominations and multi-platinum sales, P.O.D. draws a dedicated and diverse crowd – from mainstream metal and hard rock enthusiasts, to Latin rock fans to Christian rock devotees – with an equally diverse fusion of rock, funk, reggae, hardcore, and other influences. Their most recent release, 2008’s When Angels and Serpents Dance, marked the return of original guitarist Marcos Curiel.

When offbeat and often outrageous humor meet a hybrid of hard rock influences and “full-blooded melodies” that are “relentlessly addictive” according to All Music Guide, the result is Alien Ant Farm. After vaulting to fame with their platinum-selling ANThology, and a #1 radio hit with their tongue-in-cheek cover of Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal,” AAF is back with its original lineup. The Riverside, CA quartet is currently writing songs for their fifth studio album.

Butterscotch is a musical Swiss Army knife – a multi-instrument musician (including piano, flute, saxophone, bass and guitar), singer, songwriter, and even a champion beatboxer. In addition to claiming titles as both the first International World Female Beatbox Champion and the West Coast Beatbox Champion for both genders, she has performed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Tyra Banks Show, and as a finalist on America’s Got Talent. She has collaborated with artists across the musical spectrum – from Mike Patton to jazz bass trio S.M.V. (Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller and Victor Wooten). Look for a new CD from Butterscotch in the near future.

Adam Lasher Band’s influences and lineage are both evident in the Los Angeles quartet’s soul-rock sound. Singer/guitarist Adam Lasher – whose uncle is the legendary Carlos Santana – leads the way with expressive fretwork, anchored by a tight groove and accented by timeless keyboard and organ sounds.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Paloma is of both Mexican and Cuban descent, and has danced professionally since the age of 10. Her self-titled debut album due out later this year draws on dance, pop, R&B and Latin influences.

L.A.-based by way of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Cruz has a soulful sound with a modern edge. After working with Grammy-winning engineer/producer Jay Baumgardner, the band signed with Baumgardner’s label and management company. The band has been working on a new release at NRG Studios in North Hollywood.
